People are on the waiting list because they pre-ordered back in September, you're not going to get on it now.

Just before the 3080 Launch I bought all the parts for a brand new rig to replace my 9 year old Piledriver and 6 year old GTX980 system and discovered a new GPU coming out so decided to wait for the card. I ordered 3080 TUF non OC on day 3 and suspected I might be waiting until November, but here we are and looking at delivery in June at the earliest; if shipments ramp up to average 30/wk from next week.

I am surprised at the 980 though, the 10700KF breathed new life into it and it even runs cyberpunk on mid to low reasonably well at 1440p/144Hz and runs my other games well enough, but I am looking forward to getting the new card. What is your 980 struggling with?

Everything! The display outputs on it (display port & HDMI's) died end of August, Have been using a loaner card a mate had kicking about (but even that short term loan is now starting to take the urinal as i've been using that for 7 months now & he kind of wants it back for his own kids pc for school ect)
 
i think life is messing with me because 10 Ventus where meant to come and i was 9th place so i thought "finally i will get my card" and then 5 cards arrived and i thought "so close. i cant wait". ---3 weeks pass---. i thought "after waiting 3 weeks surely my card will come soon" but no somehow magically 5 cards have gone missing and didn't reach the distributor.

Life: look your card is almost here
Me: *gets excited* really, is it on its way?
Life: Nah, i'm just messing with you.
---a few weeks pass---
Life: look your card is almost here again
Me: *gets excited* are you sure this time?
Life: Nah, i'm still messing with you.

The long and winding Ventus road does have an end! I was stuck at No.3 for over a month and had the same doubts as you. Now chinese new year is over stock should start flowing. Good luck and hope you get it soon ;)

I may get into uni before I get my card but hopefully it will come soon.
does anyone know when production will start to ramp up?

I was 140th on the list back at the start of the year but I haven't gotten an update since due to the Irish VAT issue. How many places have you moved up since the start of the year?
