If I had to wait until 2022 I would for sure just cancel and wait on the next generation (which might even come next year?). At that point the card isn't even worth the original cost with it being half way to EOL.
It really sucks though as I have a 4k VR headset that is basically just sitting there also devaluing, unable to use it with my 980TI.

It’s my first Build and all I need is my 3080 left :(

Thats like 5/6 months rent to some people .

Can't see those prices holding up, since economy is going to get going soon and these cards will be of much less interest then. People will remember and may not forgive!
 
I was going to go for a 3080 but seeing how things were I paid a stupid amount for a 3090. For me Xbox and PS are non starters as I do DCS and Il-2 Great battles in VR. If things carry on they are then Flight sims and racing sims will die out as the hardware needed will be far too expensive

when i ordered mine i was 950 in the cue last year but everyone cancelled their orders so i got to 190 for tuf non oc.and finaly got my card 2 week ago.cue moving but super slow mate.

Lifting 'lockdown' won't make the slightest difference. Prices won't drop until there is plentiful supply and that supply depends on how many and how fast the manufacturers can produce them. That has nothing to do with lockdown but a shortage of fabrication space/time.

Due to one never arriving (or prob being picked up by DPD from OCUK), my queue update says I'm 783, but I'm to dismiss that number and will be receiving after new stock arrives.
