*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

And how long is it expected then till DPD issue is sorted because updates are fine and all but theres nothing about time frames or anything and frankly its impossible to gauge if truly anyting is being done

Well, as disgusting and immoral scalping etc is, it's not technically illegal. There is no law stopping you buying huge quantities of something providing you pay from a geniune retailer etc.

I seriously doubt any law etc will be passed, but hopefully I'm wrong. The best we can likely hope for is a strict limit of 2/3 per customer from launch.

I also doubt that any law will be passed to prevent reselling, but they could place requirements on sellers to put more checks and barriers in place to prevent bot purchases and limit how many units are sold to a single buyer.

I reckon coming out of lockdown will make a difference.
I don't know, there's going to be long term effects. I was reading that the shipping companies are selling a lot of their bigger ships for scrap because it's just more cost effective than paying for their upkeep on a reduced budget. So the merchant navy is reduced and wont come back quickly. That means that freight that would go on those ships is now fighting for space on the other ships. Some of those companies could go under yet which will just limit shipping capacity globally.

Getting to the point where thinking of calling it a day and selling all my PC components....Now 11 weeks since started RMA on my 3080 and not been able to use PC at all. Looks like lockdown might end before get a replacement and frankly I intend to spend as much time down the pub and out the house as soon as we are allowed.... Glad was lucky enough to get the new consoles to make up for the Zotac "$£$%%.

Ah to sit looking longingly at my email like some lonely puppy waiting for his owner to return after a long day away at work.

Please please please please let my queue place drop significantly. ***** fingers very crossed *****

So you dont know what you paid? Aye OK :p
So you dont know what you paid? Aye OK :p

I paid a whopping £ 790 for my card one of the most extreme 3080s out there (it's listed as £739 rrp. ) But on OC website it's listed for 1k.

So I paid £ 50 more, but considering the situation , I don't feel I can complain.

It's the most I've ever paid for a single pc component. Ffs £790 for a gpu, prices need to reduce nvidia.
