I will end this.

You did many times.
But now we know you lie.
Have fun jackanory I'm off :)
Do you have reading problems?
I personaly dont give a **** what colour she is. Racist care what colour she is. Not everyone that criticises her is a racist but just like brexit a lot of racist will have been very vocal on the subject.
Do you have reading problems?

I really couldnt be much clearer but well...

Why couldnt you just be more like 200sols.
I personaly dont give a toss about her and Harry or any other royal but quite to my surprise despite being a non royalist I quite like William and Kate. Especialy Kate.

You like the white one but not the black one? Damn racist :p
Imagine how I feel about it. :D

I think we all know that, as ocuk's resident social justice warrior, Tony is only in this thread to call out people who criticise Meghan for any reason as being racist.

If Meghan was white Tony wouldn't be here to pass judgement on everyone :)

Really? See the post above

Im not a SJW its just a lot of you are so far the other way that when you see someone defending or arguing against a position on something you have a problem with it freaks you out because what you really want is a safe space to be a little bit nasty. It just reminds me of things like this.

https://www.theguardian.com/comment...ocial-media-sonja-mclaughlan-facebook-twitter
After covering last Saturday’s Wales-England rugby match, the BBC’s reporter Sonja McLaughlan found herself sitting in her car in tears. She had received a torrent of sexist obscenities and abuse on social media. “Toxic, embarrassing, disgraceful, appalling,” she said.

She was not alone. After apparently being glimpsed on video absent-mindedly not applauding the Welsh team after the same match, the England player Ellis Genge suffered death threats. The two join other sporting figures awaiting the anger of a rhetorical mob, rallied by others on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. They currently include the rugby league referee James Child, the football pundit Karen Carney, the Swiss eSports presenter Soe Gschwind-Penski and countless players who endure terrible abuse for doing their jobs.

An easy response is to say that sport is high-profile theatre subject to wild emotions. Players and officials have been insulted throughout history. Sport has long been an outlet, even a safety valve, for communal feelings sublimated in other walks of life. If you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen – or the nearest pub.

An increasing number of sensible people do just that. They decline to use social media and stick to more private channels when discussing sport. But social media is not pub banter. It is a permanent record of disturbed and nasty thoughts beamed to the entire world. It is a global market place for gossip, comment and abuse, a forum and a platform. It embodies the coward’s best friend: anonymity.

...Yet you wonder why people are convinced that you go out of your way to get threads closed.
But I is replying to people that are being lets say, a bit mean to/about me. Do you expect me to just sit back and nod when most of it is lies?

My name got called out a few times in that bait thread the other day without me even posting in it.

Your trying reverse psychology, and failing badly.

For a paper that doesn't like them, the DM sure can't let things go. 8 separate stories near the top of their website.

Only strengthens their argument to get out of this country tbh. For all the flak she gets no one has given me a reason for it and ive asked 4 times. Dont give me "she's a narcissist" nonsense without backing it up.

It's only like Harry and Meghan themselves, claiming to want privacy and then going out of their way for publicity. If they don't appear on Oprah you won't get 100 articles. They obviously just didn't want to be constrained by the Royal Family who would want the more important Royals like William and Kate to be centre stage.

Personally I would have more scorn for an old man with credible sexual assault/paedophilia allegations (and laughable excuses about sweating and Pizza Expresses in Woking) than a couple who decided to move to another country and make their own lives.

But that's the UK/OcUK for you.

It's funny - I only know about the Oprah interview from here/the DM. I am pretty sure it would have flown by (as it has for people whose lives aren't affected by the engagement levels of Harry & Meghan with the press) if the DM/people on here didn't **** a brick as a result.

It reminds me of the faux outrage in America right now and the stolen election. The GOP (DM in this case) get their base riled up with nonsense that has no bearing on our lives/or just not based in reality, and then point to that base as a reason to be aggrieved.

That's all a number of people in here and the DM are - perpetually outraged (or on the cusp ready for the next one) by something that has no impact on their day-to-day lives. Some people act as if Meghan stole their lunch money, ****** on them and then kicked them in nuts for extra measure.

So the most eagerly awaited interview possibly this decade, starring two of the currently most high profile people in the UK, being interviewed by one of the most famous current interviewers in US history and you think it would have "flown by" if it wasn't for a single newspaper's reports on it?

OK :D

Pretty much yeah, do you not see how fast our news cycles move? The DM make each day seem like it's the first day of the revelation that they are being interviewed. In a normal world, it would have been big news for a day or two and then we have moved on to the next shiny object/thing to be outraged by.

Edit - case in point. BBC News - the word Harry appears 0 times on their front page. The Guardian = 0. The Telegraph = 2. The DM = 29. The Express = 18. The Sun = 10. Evening Standard = 3. The rest of the world moved on, the right wing press can't because they're so hurt.
