*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Sorry those arrived today & shipped.

There's supposed to be another shipment already on the way but I don't have the numbers yet.

@ScottiB is this no longer the case regarding another shipment already on the way? Gibbo has said zero incoming on his latest post, so I am now confused. Appreciate the updates and hope everyone has a good weekend.

edit: sorry I hadn’t refreshed my screen and seen the previous post answer.

My thought is that other places will be in a similar situation so it's not as if we can cancel and go buy somewhere else. Given what cards have been coming in the last few months, it seems mostly the higher end cards as the manufacturers can make more profit from them. So given I can't pick up a card elsewhere I see no reason to cancel but to get a card sooner (even if it is 3 months time!) I'm thinking moving to the lower queue cards for some people like myself makes sense if willing to pay the difference in price. I'm just not sure how OCUK would work out the pricing since they don't even have store prices at the moment and whether your systems can cope with it or not. Obviously if everyone tried this it would overwhelm customer support but imagine most people don't read the forums anyway.

Unfortunately, we've got bigger queues than anybody else and most brands don't seem to care enough about clearing them before they give stock to other resellers. So there are cards popping up around the country for those looking.

Brands like EVGA seem happy to give all their stock to Scan, as their main partner...and other brands appear to be 'very popular with miners'. There's nothing that we can really do about either situation.

Sorry, I really don't know, we had a decent number of Gigabyte cards arrive in the last week or so and I thought things were looking up, but looking at the incoming now, it seems like I was wrong.

Lets be completely honest, if you are close to the end of a queue that has been moving steadily then holding on makes sense, just be aware of how dry it is at the moment.
If you are in a queue that hasn't moved in ages, if you are one of those unfortunate customers who selected a brand boast about selling to mining farms...if you are far back in a queue that only moves by single figures in a week. Then it's beginning to look like a complete hiding to nothing to hold on. It's going to take an unlikely miracle for any queue to move more than a handful of cards before the summer. There's absolutely no way that we'll clear those queues before then.
Honestly i'll probably stay in the queue until I either get my card, or the stock situation gets better and I can easily buy a card elsewhere.

As was said in October you were not closing backorders and left it too late, out for the fast buck and it is has been hitting you for months now.
Hence why you still have thousands of backorders and distribution is not going to favour you just because you have an issue of your own making.

I’m not cancelling too late for that waited 6 months already soo far hopefully will improve just when that is.
I’m at 926 in the queue and with no extra funds I won’t be cancelling neither. I spent like £3000 total for a build and obviously waiting for this last part to complete it. Now the card is £180 more than when I bought it back in October.

I sympathise and I apologise, I wouldn't usually comment but this is a perfect example of what I was saying.
There's only one queue that you can be in, we've received less than 300 cards in six months, I honestly can't see any way that we'll receive three times that in the next six months. You're doing yourself a disservice if you've got that much hardware sat idle and you're not exploring other alternatives.

I'm not telling you to cancel but, at least, consider it, don't sit on your hands. I'll be genuinely surprised if Asus deliver 1000 units of that card before Christmas. :(

Also, if there's any card where we end up being forced to cancel orders, whether through losses or, more likely, because they get discontinued, this is the prime candidate.

115th for the ASUS strixx OC and i am a patient guy but I am almost at my end here, imma hold out a little longer to see if stock gets better but that isn’t looking too great

I’ve dropped 2 places in the eagle since the start of december they will come eventually. At this point I’ve given up stressing, all I’m thinking is I know I have ordered and I know I’m getting a graphics card from ocuk no matter what at some point. All we have to do is wait, and wait but it’ll be worth it!!
You might want to reconsider what you just said after what's been updated today.

Damn since the 19th of December I went from 582 to 377 in the Strix OC queue, nice to at least see a number now and not be left in the dark anymore.

I'm 32nd in queue for the Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC, so I'm still up for waiting.
we had five land late today, they haven't been processed yet.

I'm sorry it's not positive news

Scottie B is it worth waiting for strix none Oc 11th in the queue cheers if u reply.
Surely that depends on how long that you are willing to wait? We literally have no information on anything incoming. It could be three weeks or three months. We really don't know.

My advice to everybody, whether you believe that you wish to wait or not, is not to sit on your hands and hope for something to happen. At least explore other options and other sources. My optimism is well and truly beaten into submission.
