*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I just dont know how one can run a business when they dont know when they getting stock and they didnt even know what price they going to pay, but for sure this explains why PC hardware is super volatile on price watch sites, I always did wonder why prices moved around so much.

And currency exchange rate fluctuations, of course! :p

Noticed today a huge influx of MSI 3080's come up for sale on the popular auction site.. Has a company just released a large pre-order of these? Noticed some of the adverts show them as being posted out today via their website and cost paid £744.99.
They way oversold. Most of the dimwits listing on the bay will get a cancelation email tomorrow. Basically a clothing retailer listed the cards for about 2 hrs at £744, to make matters worse they allowed you to buy five at a time! Lots of people went for it but talk is they had a few cards but sold hundreds. Not the first time this has happened.

Oh. I can't think which clothing retailer haha please PM me to stop my mind trying to figure it out.

If this is the case then you're probably right about cancellations.. was it just MSI 3080's then?

Hi guys, just out of curiosity who thinks numbers of cards is going to increase over the next few months?

the reason I asked is because I bought my card for a pc that I built for uni, I do a lot of heavy 3D modelling and rendering as well as 1440p gaming on the side. I have had to make do with an rx580 I got from a friend but I’m really starting to need this new card and am unsure whether I should cancel or just hold on

I have a feeling that its going to get worse. I accepted that the 3080 wasnt going to be available back in January so I went with a 3090 that I still havent got :(

I could have picked up a 3090 a couple of times now, mostly founders edition and a few gigabyte models. Could not really afford it but I've managed to put a little extra money together and now I'm really regretting not having
picked one up.

I wish I could afford one but I can’t :( have you seen the prices of cards selling on auction sites? £1500+ for an rtx3080 and over £1000 for an rtx3070. If our orders can’t be fulfilled then some of us here literally won’t be able to afford a 3000 series card

I would work under the assumption availability will stay about the same as it is. It's affecting all cards.

Even the 3090s have dried up as people give up on buying a 3080. It's a bad time to buy, I'm guessing there's a flood of 2nd hand cards ready to hit the market, but because of the current drought even those 2nd hand cards are currently over priced because they're the only cards available to buy.

I already have my order in but I’m very tempted to cancel, there hasn’t been movement in my queue since December...

Just got an email from Amazon Pay notifying me that my VAT has been refunded, even though I did not request it through customer service, or otherwise contact customer service at all.

Can only see it getting worse sadly, the manufacturers are probably twitching to get new SKU's released. Ti/Super cards. This will only reduce supply of existing SKU's.

I've been saving for for nearly 18 months to build my first PC and finally when I'm ready the key component i need is like angel dust, already delayed building with a 2070super in mind due to buying a house and the announcment of the new gen cards, really didnt think it would be this bad in terms of supply though :(

This! ^^^^ Exactly this!

I'm making do with my old Pascal Titan X in my otherwise completely new build of Nov last year... Will just have to keep on waiting as long as it takes!

The problem is you could cancel here and then they start getting orders in. The best way at the moment seems to be get on a cue and then look for an alternative elsewhere. That of course means being able to pay for two cards, which is completely unpalatable for most people even if it is just a few days out of pocket.

I did at one point have an Nvidia 3090 in the shopping cart, but I decided against it. It felt like I was rewarding Nvidia for not being able to fulfil my 3080 order. I've been in that position 2 or 3 times, so it is possible to get cards from somewhere else, it's just it's a pure lottery whether you will or not, no matter how much work you put into it.

What exactly is being done with them? Is delivery being moved to DHL? Are OC going to cover any additional charges imposed by Irish customs because of this?
VAT is being refunded. If you don't want to pay import handling fees please give me your order number and I'll refund your order in full.

You seem to be under the impression that we have a choice in this. We don't. We can't ship your order with VAT paid. The only person with a choice here is you. Continue with the order or don't. There's not going to be any miraculous U Turn on Brexit. We're not responsible for your government's decisions as much as we are responsible for ours.
