Hi all

I’ve just moved into a new place, and today the Hive SLT2 has died.

I haven’t ever used something like this before, so I’d like to understand what I need to do to replace it.

It seems you can’t buy them online anymore - what system is the direct replacement for if?

Please ask any questions - I’m sure there’s some info I need to provide :-)

Thanks in advance

If its a fairly modern boiler (mine was 30 years old) you have lots of options. Hive2 is my shout but a lot on here prefer the Tado. I got Hive2 by adding it to my Amazon basket, ticking installation, and about 3 days later had it installed by BG.

I think it's fairly modern, and there's a Hive device connected up to it.

I don't know what I would need to upgrade to a new thermostat

I've just dismantled the whole thing, bit of WD-40 Contact Cleaner on the PCB, re-seated connections on the PCB and it's working again.

Still getting the issue with the "No RF" though :(

You can just unscrew and unclip the receiver box from the backing plate and replace. I had to do ours after only about 2 years. Changed the receiver over, resynced and away it went. I was just having issues with only one light on and it not calling heat on demand correctly though.
