Fiesta ST or Pug 208 GTi?

The 1.4 TSI Leon FR Technology is a good shout. Its got 150bhp, dual exhaust (son said that is a must lol), sat nav, Bluetooth and road tax is just £30

I own a Fiesta ST-2 with the MP215 Mountune upgrade and it's a hoot. I have never cared about what people think of cars, I don't have any idea how driving a car you enjoy makes you a chav but if you can I highly recommend it.

The 1.4 TSI in the Leon's is the same engine used in the Golf isn't it? Not heard or seen ant complaints online about that engine in either car so not sure what you're referring to

There was a 1.4 in the older Polo GTI, loads of those went wrong and VAG eventually replaced it with a 1.8.

In summary I loved the car but it was the most unrealible bag of bolts ever. It had a 200thp engine.

Not that it helps, but the refreshed 208THP engine in the refresh fixed a lot of the early issues. When looking for a 208 gti always start looking at 2016 or later...

For that price you will get a 208 by Peugeot sport which is another level over the ST. 4 pots brembo's and mechanical LSD.

Have you seen the cost of the brake disks for these?

EDIT - Or is that the 308?

EDIT 2 - Yes, it's the 308 with Alcon brakes

The front brakes worry me, at my recent service Peugeot reckoned next year it will need new discs and pads - quote, £1,750!

I think they're an obscure (or maybe even unique) size, so difficult to find aftermarket.
