I'd like to add a Prelude to that list, mind, but it'll probably a third-gen one. It won't be long before they've all disappeared or got to mad money levels.

I did point Honda in the direction of a second-gen one a while back, that said – seeing yours on the list reminded me of all this – and it's now on its heritage fleet. I must get around to having a go in it!

Loved my Gen 2 Prelude.
My dad was jealous, threatened to throw me out (I was 21).
I was so angry I wrote it off on Woodhead Road. (Which bought me another 3 years at home as it was on finance and a total loss).

Can you imagine how my brand new MK1 vRS felt after driving poverty spec Golfs for years.

Not that impressive, but had fun with the hot hatches. Will get something hot hatch related in a few years. Houses are priority right now.

I had to sell my Orion Ghia as a deposit for my first house.
Running around in a Mini 850 for a while, but I have always been mobile.

Again on my list, had to sell my Orion Ghia as a deposit for my first house.

Yep, I got a little 206 to save money when my mum died and I needed a deposit for a house, I traded down to save money and for the purpose, the 206 was great. Cheap as chips.

My dad had Ford Cortinas and got an Orion 1.6i Ghia and I fell in love. I passed my test and was starting college, I hatched a plan to be added onto his insurance so I could drive it. My dad eventually agreed to add me, so rang insurance company, plus a lot others. No one would insure me on it until I was 30!! (I was 17 at the time) - I was gutted. Eventually he got a Sierra Estate which he loved and I could drive, but was no where near as cool.

I got my first car as mentioned above (Metro) and was paying £1900 a year TPF&T for insurance at 19!

Not much variety here. I also don’t appear to change my daily very often (Cinq, 2 of the MR2s, Galant and Volvo cover me from 1998 to present)

Fiat Cinquecento Sporting
1985 Mk1 Toyota MR2
1987 Mk1 Toyota MR2
1986 Mk1 Toyota MR2 - Swapped the Fiat for it, then sold it to the (now) wife almost immediately
1986 Mk1 Toyota MR2 (Still got this one as my track car)
1988 Mk1 Toyota MR2 T-Bar
1989 Mk1 Toyota MR2 (Bought as a non-running track car and sold without ever driving it)
Mitsubishi Galant V6-24
Mk3 Toyota MR2 (Still got - Technically the wife’s car but we’re beyond having ‘his’ and ‘hers’ cars nowadays)
Volvo XC70 (Still got)
1988 Mk1 Toyota MR2 T-bar (Parts car only, currently stripped to a bare shell, is upside down in the garage with no roof and will never be a viable car again)

Is this a willy waving thread ? :D
