Has anyone changed their mind about the Epic store, after all the free games?

I tried the Epic store/launcher once for the Ghost Recon Wildlands demo but couldn’t get the game to run at all.

Did you link your ubisoft account to Epic? If you had I personally just use uPlay (or its newer name) to launch ubisoft games since their linked to it's own launcher.

I never cared in the first place, Steam, Epic, Ubi etc aren't in it for us so I treat them all the same way, I use them for games and that's that. I have no affiliation or loyalty to any of them.

My only issue with it, is the power consumption of having it open. It costs me around 6 degrees in CPU temp having Epic games open, what's that all about?

Epic games store makes a huge loss and isn't expected to make any profit for at least a few years yet still manages to buy all these exclusives?
Amazing what the bank of China can enable companies to do I guess but seems fishy to me.

Nope. Dont need it, dont like their business model and i dont like Tim Sweeney. Nothing on there that isnt available elsewhere that's worth playing.

Not for me. I still nab the freebies and occasionally try the games out but I end up rebuying them on Steam if I really like them - Hob and Shadow Tactics being a couple. I mean I still don't know where they're at with cloud saves. Does every game have them now? That's a feature I really like.

Free stuff i will happily take but Epic is so far behind Steam in terms of UI and features that it doesn't make sense to buy a game on it's platform.

Nope, company sucks, launcher sucks, they are almost completely anti-consumer and Sweeney is an absolute garbage can of a person. I'd rather pay for a game on Steam that Epic are offering "free" as they do so much more good in PC gaming.

Nope, I've claimed quite a few free games there but never actually installed or played them, actually that's wrong, I did install and play Rocket League and got bored of it fairly quickly. .

Never bought anything though.

Here's the thing... I don't want my game purchases on epic, I want them on steam. I really don't care to have 'yet another' loader on my machine. I only buy on Origin/Epic if something is an killer deal, or I can't get it on the other platform, or it's a game I just don't care about too much.

I think I have a load of free games on epic but that's it. I played them for a few hours or not at all.

The question is... WHY.. why should I buy on Epic a game that's available on the bigger platform, and it likely available cheaper if I use a legit key site on that bigger platform?
