My garage is not really a garage, more of a storage as it's only 2.5m in length. Thinking about getting a wall mounted vacuum for cleaning the cars as the Dyson V10 is not cut out for it. The only one I know about is the Garagevac:

I've seen that Bissell make one but it doesn't appear on their UK website:

Are there any other wall mounted vacuums available? I'm sure a cylinder one would be fine but space is a premium for me so I'd prefer a wall mounted vacuum.

I’d just get a decent wet and dry vac with any of the attachments you need. Far more versatile and cheaper.

Wall mount just seems to be a huge premium for something which is less versatile.

A wet and dry can be ‘wall mounted’ by putting it away on a shelf when not in use :p

I'm suprised that you struggle cleaning cars with a cordless Dyson. My older version does a great job.

I'm not keen on a cylinder vacuum as I said, space is really a premium. However I might consider it if I can see considerable performance gains from cylinder vs wall mounted.
My V10 can't cope with a large car that's been destroyed by 2 children.

I wouldn’t get a Henry, it’s covered by laws which limit their power output like all household vacuums.

A wet and dry has much more suction power.

I got a wet/dry vacum for about £35 from screwfix
titan brand
does the job works well for the purpose. Titan tools are decent enough

Meh, works alright here :D

Mine too, does a great job. Just don't get the cordless one, cause they really are bad.

Henry’s aren’t bad but I only say it because they don’t ‘suck’ like they used to being limited to 650w motors.

A wet and try isn’t and they’ll regularly go up to 1500w and just ‘suck’ a lot harder. They’ll also pick up water and some models have automatic on off for use with powertools etc.

True, I guess older ones wil generally be better, particularly the extra ones

@fatbatman works for Dyson he should be able to work out why your vacuum sucks (pun intended)

I prefer a bagged vacuum for the garage, means you can suck up proper dirty stuff without worrying about the filters or the mess in the dust collector.

The titan has very good suction, I use it for dust extraction on tools but the attachments are a bit shoddy and it's bloody loud :o
