So what ARE the actual options to get in line for a Nvidia 3080?

So I'm a little lost.

if you've stopped taking pre-orders completely, are there no options to get on any queue at all? Not even a system for expressing my interest in getting in line for one? Is stock still ONLY being distributed to existing pre-orders from October / November time when you stopped taking preorders?

Does ANY 3080 stock end up on the website product pages, and is snapped up immediately by those quick enough to check out?

What recourse does anybody have here!?

yeah i ordered my card on 2nd october 2020 and got shipping notif today, i havent seen OC sell any 3080 cards on the site as nearly all were needed for orders

To have even a slim chance of buying one you'll have to lease several bots and let them scan for weeks. Or pay the triple RRP prices on the auction websites...

more likely unless a way can be found to lock out miners, but generally they always find a way, nvidia even helped the miners beat the 3060 with drivers

Short answer no, no stock ends up on the website for the 3080, nor can you pre-order one. All stock that's inbound goes to two places, the queue that's probably oversubscribed and stock for pre-builds.

Basically, if you want one, buy a pre-built and consider it an early upgrade on your current setup.

No idea what the shipping delays are on those, might still be weeks away as we don't see how OC get cards for those.

3080s are nowhere to be found anywhere. One would love to believe that's because Nvidia are using all the dies to pump out 3080 Tis and will have tons and tons of those stocked up for launch, but...

It's perfectly possible to buy FE cards when they're available (which is only briefly once a month or so).

Tracking those is absolutely your best chance of getting anything, and the bonus is that they're also the cheapest.

I was trying to find somewhere that listed the last offical FE drop date, but only found scalpers - how long ago was the last drop? And who's got it listed?

There's a good possibility no more may be released until they're all the LHR version too.

There's a good possibility no more may be released until they're all the LHR version too.

The last drop was two weeks ago, I got one from that drop and so did a few others on here, they removed the PayPal and Amazon pay options on that drop and they seemed to be around for longer. It's your only realistic chance of getting a 3980 act time soon.
