doesnt matter how you do it, the outside will always find a way in, and i can bet money some of those with access are leaking, or buying a gpu to resell.
so even with the good intentions i fear it wont work unless either demand falls or aib's/distributors stop fleecing

We can't just sit on all of the stock waiting for that to happen though so, we have to keep trying.

Aibs/distributors reducing prices will not achieve anything unless they can provide enough stock for them all not to be hoovered up by scalpers/miners.

One of the reasons the OCUK cards have not all been sold instantly today is because they have been priced above CEX buy prices. So the only people buying now will be the ones desperate for a card or the ones that feel confident enough to resell for more, which is unlikely given the price point and the ROI from mining, added to the current uncertainty on which way BTC will go in the short term.
 
i'd like to add that the last open forum deal did do what was intended for some - i was able to move my 1060 6gb into my sons system (his chrimbo pressie had no gpu in it for a bit) and am now happily gaming on my 6700xt. i have no MM access but have been on here some time...

i am grateful for the deal, though i do feel a bit asssore paying so much for a mid range card, however i'll try and return the favour with some loyalty to OCUK when i next need pc goodies.

i do mine casually on the card when it's otherwise idle and i remember to fire up nicehash, but not reason for purchase and i just see this as offsetting the outlay a bit.

I think this has been the case for many gamers who have spent more then they normally would as they have justified that they can recoup some of the cost through mining when not gaming.

If you'd been a member for longer you'd know that we've tried deals on the public forum and they were a disaster. Ended up feeding countless scalpers.

would have thought simple as longevity and posts, even if it was 1000(which excludesmyself) and say 2yrs or other timescale, or 2 level section, those with longevity and those with set number of posts. just a thought

Even then there were a ton of 3070's priced around 1000 - 1100 this morning and still sold. Presumably the 6700xt stock is lower on the pecking order.

It's certainly sad for sure, keep us posted if there's any good news on the GPU front.

@Gibbo I will be very gratefull to have a chance to get a new card at a good price and I am sure many of the other long standing members will be as well. I have waited all this time with no luck so another few weeks won't be a problem.
 
We all know OCUK cares for gamers, but we all have to keep in mind that they still have a business to run and report to the mother company.
They have to maintain their margins, otherwise they will be out of business and we will lose this wonderful community and customer service from them.

Ah them OCUK caring doing their utmost to bring us the GPUs we want, I will be happy just get one lent to do a full Diamond case build & my own review on the Gamerock GPU...just to see that ARGB Feeling /Glow love
Even knocked the price down for us for a better price, well for the 6700XT anyhow.

It's a pity if all ONline retail shops just refuse to buy the cards from the Board partners
tell the prices to come right down to normal :D

Then I guess that would not really work they salle them to certain partys
