*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I just hope they don't do it to the ventus next, 11th position, I'm so close, it would be a joke if it got canceled now

I'm in the same boat, queue position 17 or something. I wouldn't count on getting it. I managed to bag a 3070 back in January, which I will sell if I do finally get the Ventus. We shall see!

It's annoying hows there's no one working at overclockers that have commented on the card, seen a few people talking about how the ventus hasn't moved in ages and any movement is cancelations

it's annoying how people accuse us of not commenting when we do so regularly and a quick search will bring up lots of results.

Didn't know you could search by key work, I know it must be annoying people being like this it's just people including myself get abit annoyed with the long wait, I know it's more msis fault than anyone's, it just feels like they're not being made and it worries you that maybe you'll get an email one day after waiting months saying we've canceled lol, thanks for the reply anyways

Unfortunately, there's absolutely nothing that we can do to influence what they make and obviously, the longer we wait without any production, the more likely it becomes that they decide to kill the card. The upcoming LHR transition is likely to make matters worse rather than better for those waiting for this card.

I'm not sure how you're gonna sort out all the back orders out with the the LHR ones, I read the messages on here about the ventus like you said and from what I saw MSI ship every 3 weeks? Is that right or update you on stock or something, read a few of the messages so could be wrong?

No, MSI ship probably once per week and they send us an "incoming" list, usually about 2-3 weeks before it arrives, but there's been very few 3080 and absolutely no 3080 Ventus in recent months. The LHR situation is all still up in the air because we don't know what MSI are planning to do. We don't know the pricing, we don't know the supply levels...

What we do know is that Nvidia appear to be planning to keep the full hash rate GPUs for themselves (since the Founders Edition will remain full hash rate). Nvidia have also told their partners to sell LHR cards as new models, which means if Nvidia keep ALL of the full hash rate GPUs themselves, this would force their partners discontinue the current models completely and cancel all back orders.

Ohh not a good situation, I'm sure it would make it easier on places like you and anywhere else with pre orders but the amount of people that would be in uproar would be huge, it's a complicated situation, maybe there could be a way to either give people a way to preorder the newer ti models first so they dont not get a card or maybe could move them to the new lhr but would be so much work to move so many people so not likely I guess, most likely everyone gets cancelled and refunded

That would be completely unacceptable because we have been waiting for our cards at the latest from September and it is not fair that they are just cancelled.
Personally I have been waiting since September and I am 3rd place for a 3080 ventus and after this long if it is cancelled i will be p*ssed.

@Gibbo
Even worse OCuk won’t even upgrade a single Ventus order even though I have explained that it won’t lose as much as some other upgrades that they are currently doing.

no joke. its taking so long i am going to get into uni before I get my gpu.

Good grief, that's going to make the situation much worse - every man + dog will be chasing the scarce FE drops as they'll be much cheaper than AIB prices & wholesale cancellation of SKUs is not going to do resellers with queues of pre-orders any good either. :mad:

Unless there's amazing levels of LHR cards arriving it would be pointless to get into another queue for those cards at the current AIB pricing of 2x FE MSRP - so if that happens, doesn't leave us much choice about where to buy the FE models from.. :(

If my order gets cancelled because of Nvidia, I won't be chasing Nvidia cards ever again. I'll switch to AMD and just wait until there's stock.

Nvidia might stop producing the FE models.
