Good news is my PS5 arrived today, i wondered what very were do shipping it on a friday before a bank holiday, noticed it was royalmail 24h, and read they do mon-sat as standard, and sure enough it arrived.

Yeah mine got delivered too, not that it's for me but my friend is chuffed.

Psycho is the guy who claims to have built up a property empire (with no help from his parents who have their own property empire, which he apparently is sometimes paid to manage as well...)

So what he's doing scalping PS5s at a couple hundred quid a pop is beyond me. Surely that's small change for him... :p

But then you never can tell, sometimes, with some people, when they're just talking absolute crap, eh?

Question guys.

IF I use the transfer from ps4 to ps5 option, does this count as a move (meaning ps4 is reset at end of it) or a copy of data (meaning ps4 still has everything on it end of process)? I did read wifi transfers can be problematic.

So basically I am considering either tramsfer via wifi (although will put all games on external drive and move that over, so the actual transfer will be saves, and any other non game data, I assume themes are discarded *cries*)

Second option is I just move/copy all games from internal to external storage on ps4, I cannot move clips/screenshots to it, ps4 doesnt let you do this. Move the drive over, copy saves over either via usb or cloud service. Copy clips/screenshots to usb device, and then to PC or to PS5. This would be bit at a time thing, as using usb stick.
 
Not been playing my PS5 much at all lately in the last couple of months.

I decided to move the PS5 to the living room over this weekend and game on a monitor, so to not hog the living room TV. This idea was shot though when I connected and subsequently found out my BenQ 32" 4K monitor can't do 4K over HDMI!

So I started looking around at monitors. Quite the situation we have right now with monitor for consoles, isn't it. I can't see 4K HDMI 2.1 high refresh rate monitors being sensibly priced or easily available for a while.

Went for a Samsung LU28R550UQUXEN. 4K 60hz, IPS panel 28". £169, price matched. Really happy with it and bargain price. Looks great! Really nice panel which will see me through until more HDMI 2.1 monitors start appearing.

Ive got like 5 games installed and yeah.. storage space!! I've been out the loop with the PS5 for a while and I'm gobsmacked that the internal SSD upgrade path still hasn't been put in place by Sony yet. Storage space is an absolute nightmare, looking at you COD.

Got a Samsung T7 1TB external SSD drive arriving tomorrow to run PS4 games from, which will help with the storage issue. Thankfully!
 
Well it looks like they have enabled ps4 games to be played from external now as well as stored there, this has led to me making the decision to move my external across.
 
Not really PS5 related but I got a cheapish sound bar and annoyingly when I flick through menus (same on SX) the subwoofer makes a weird whiny noise. So I somehow got to get it back to Amazon, bearing in mind the box it shipped in was so big I can lay down it and I'm 5.10. Can hardly drop it off at the garage

External SSD arrived. Copied a 46GB game to it in 2 minutes 20 second from the internal drive.

I can't notice any noticable difference with game loading speeds compared to when they were on the internal.
 
I thought all PS4 games can be played on PS5, after moving my external drive, 17 of the games are faded out and have a no entry signal, selecting it shows a message saying the game isnt playable on PS5.

Only thing I can suggest is reinstalling them

are they purchased from another region/account and have you added that account back to the PS5?

They UK and on my account, but I have now looked into this further.

It turns out 15 of them are demo's.

Nioh I own it online, I deleted it, the store on the console wants me to pay for it, but when I selected download from the PSN website, it downloaded it again and that is now ok.

The last one is a PS+ title, I didnt buy but should have it for life. Not found a way to fix that one yet.

This is why you will never have money.

Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves.

I'm extremely frugal. I do luxury spending at times especially when on holiday like before the pandemic in LA, Vegas and Vancouver, the minimum I go on holiday for is 3-4 weeks now.

If you don't think it's worthwhile clicking 2 buttons and all of 10 seconds to make £200-£350 then you clearly don't have a clue.

Anyway I just got a disc as well that's 2 consoles arriving tomorrow.
