Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

I bought one of those for my mother... Thankfully not her first phone, but she is not a fan of change at the best of times. For what it is though, a good bit of kit at a decent price if you're not a power user

its a shame that android or iOS dont have some sort of phone admin mode where i can set up a limited number of apps and delete the rest
call someone , text someone , facebook and whatsapp , read emails and take and view photos thats all my mum uses
preferably with big icons on one screen that cant be swiped away from or changed.

Could always just get a sim cutter?

Mate, you have a GBS. You really need to up your game beyond dodgy burgers and sausages. :p (Rib eye is my go to now!)

Avoid the Weber BBQ cover, apparently it is expensive and garbage. I was going to link the one I got (a Cadac 57cm) but it looks like the product has changed from what it was. Generic 57cm covers on Amazon are more than adequate tho (£20 - 4 years old now).

Don't be a savage like my neighbour and leave it uncovered :p

Ah wicked that'll save me a few quid and I'll go for a non branded one, was going to order the weber one.

Definitely eyeing but a few of the add ons to increase our usage

Spend time learning how to use it before buying a million pointless addons. Heat placement and temperature control is key.

I got my mum the same phone for Christmas.
You can lock it down a fair amount.
Install Nova Launcher, set the home screen to have how ever many icons you want, put the icons needed on the home screen (can even add shortcuts to certain contacts) then use Nova to lock the screen so nothing can be changed.

On my mams it has 6 frequently used contacts, messages, whatsapp, gmail, photos/camera and contacts/phone (for getting to less used ones), icons set to large then the screen is locked so nothing can be moved/changed, she hasn't managed to mess it up yet. Done the same for Grandad a few weeks ago when he had to get a new phone.

Yeah you can do it with the free version.
Go to Nova Settings -> Home Screen -> Advanced at bottom and tick Lock Layout.
For the icon amount go to Home Screen -> Desktop Grid make it what you want, then to Icon Layout and max it out.
Been using Nova for years, its pretty customizable :)

Make sure you scroll to the left and delete the automatic play store icon that pops up, then to the right to delete Nova Settings (you can get to it by holding down on the home screen and clicking settings), just so there is only one screen.

All jokes aside, this is perfect for me as I can stick it in my boot and take it to a fro, all metal components so it'll last years, 5 Yr warranty which when serviced (by yourself) in 5yrs time, it's given another 5Yrs.

Will give it a go next time I'm in the office and give my car a clean!
