Also for VR some of the AMD cards come with USB-C that carries display port and USB singles.... So that may be a plus depending on the HMD you use.
Do any vr headsets actually use VirtualLink?

Thank you for your advice folks.
It really helped me choose between price/performance and practicality.
Next question, just occurred to me, will my, less than one year old, Corsair 650w psu be enough to handle Ryzen 5 3600 cpu and the new Rx 6800XT gpu?
Watt do you think? (Pun intended).
I'm going to give it a go anyway and post back results if it helps anyone else.
The recommended is 750W, but you might be okay. I know others here have used 650W and perhaps even lower spec PSUs and had no issues. Just use separate PSU cables.Thank you for your advice folks.

More expensive£649 baby
Why would you recommend a GPU that can spike to over 600W![]()
That's a good point. Is Nvidia putting DLSS in VR as well or would it not work due to loss of IQ at such a close distance? This. VR is so demanding youd never benefit from RT so ye go for AMD

I'm torn between the two.
My inherent herd instinct says go for a 3080. Brain says go for a 6900 XT.
Price of available 6900XT is lower than 3080 .
Mainly for VR racing sims.
Very little else.

Quest 2 uses Oculus Airlink (included) or Virtual Desktop(paid). Both are wireless.

Edit: I just saw that you had already pulled the trigger. Good luck with your purchase. What model is your Corsair PSU? If it is one of the higher quality ones then you should be fine.
