I think the fact that we still had cards available days after Gibbo posted them, where members could easily buy the card even above MSRP and make a quick profit selling it on, shows that it works. If that were true they'd all be gone in a flash or at least wouldn't be there for days.

So yeah it's prevented a lot of the scalping. GJ OcUk

Yea, maybe you're right, the whole pandemic, working from home whilst trying to father younguns has made me pretty angry and honestly, I think my pair ran off a good while ago, probably best as I don't think I could deal with any more kids!

And if only those plants talked to me things might be better! But yea, having a little outlet with gaming in luscious high res at a reasonable price is something that I kinda of want to take me away to some place - thats why people play games right? And aye, I've signed up to the whole Amazon type culture of want and get, it's bad.

But I did promise myself that I'd build one more system that will last a good while! Need some patience.

I understand the pandemic has changed things massively and the need would appear greater than normal, but this is a situation where the bad stuff is happening to everyone, which is why I'm pretty relaxed about it all. No point moaning about stuff I have no direct influence on.

Get yourself out and about. I went to Scotland for 4 days the week before last, was absolutely magnificent and the last thing on my mind that week was graphics cards I can tell you.

Better response this time, bit more perspective in there. It won't always be like this, but it is going to be like this for a while. Once I accepted that, I was free to go concentrate on other stuff. And enjoy it.

Aye these are the same people who are probably calling out ocuk for selling 3070's for £1k with the discount code without actually knowing how much the cards are with the code entered! Spreading lies and hate just to make themselves feel better.

To be fair, a lot of people will be seeing the prices on stock watching sites / discords etc. without the context of how the voucher system works. Easy to reach the wrong conclusion that way.

Members Market where the recent deals have been posted is 1000 posts and 180 days.

The GPU deal section which currently is not working is probably going to be 50 posts and a shorter period - this may change or may remain the same once we've got it working.

However if we notice people spamming the forum, as has been happening a lot over the last few days the moderators and admins can merge posts, delete posts, or in extreme cases zero post counts (there have been a few instances of mass merging of user posts over the last couple of days)

No available codes now I mean, but they were there days after until they ran out. Point being those with access could have made an easy profit reselling it, but those who didn't need it or want it at that price left it for those who needed a card (and qualified to get access to the voucher). Hence the system worked better than being fully available to anyone and is a pretty good idea to reduce scalping (incl the 1 per customer limit I think there is). However I guess someone could make another account and use the voucher or get it delivered to a mate's house.

In an ideal world, the vouchers would be tied to your forum account, that would limit you to 1 only. Hopefully this new way of distributing it sorts out most of the issues when they get it working.

In the meantime the best thing is to get contributing to the discussion

The MM threshold used to be much lower and I was so near to it back in the day, years ago, but then it got raised to 1000 and I just gave up.
