That's the only issue I have with mine, am in a bright room and it's beginning to drive me a little nuts! Only bad thing, other than being off and on my system all day so I'm having to manually turn it on every time :(

I would advise you to be cautious if you're sensitive to glossy like me...

Iirc Gsync is only supported on OLED on 2000-series and higher (but you might want to check that), just in case they expect it out of the box.

Thanks for the heads up, didn't know that. My older screen didn't support vrr so I didn't realise.

Not as easy a choice with a 1080, but imo my older screen vs lcd with vrr, I'd still choose the oled :D it's not only for gaming but everything else too.
Crts ruled, took me a long time to get over the downgrade in black level and motion. But lcd are bigger which made it easier to take.
I upgrade my monitor and TV a lot during the lcd era and each "upgrade" was slight in pq. I got my first oled and for the first time in decades I was seeing a genuinely big upgrade in pq. Black was finally black, even better than the Crts I had, and its huge :D 120hz looks a lot smoother on the oled than my 165hz monitor, still not crt level smooth but definitely a noticeable step up.
I want a 1440p vrr 24 inch oled as my perfect pc screen :D

It just doesn't seem that glossy to me. Not compared to some glossy screens I've seen in the past.

Im in the same boat i have this oled tv and have just bagged a 3080FE, will any decent hdmi 2.1 work and does it automatically detect 120hz in geforce control panel ? any info or tips appreciated

You don't need an 8/10k cable, the LG CX OLED 48/55 is only 4k and there no point having a 48gbps cable because the TV can only support 40gbps @4K, 120hz unless you're going into an 8K OLED @60hz So what's the point of an 10K cable?
 
hopefully by the time 8k actually arrives properly - Im hoping we dont need cables at all!!! More than viable, and looks like 4k at low fps is already good to go, so give it a year or two and hopefully the resolution and fps will increase too

It may be overkill but it’s the best one I could get today whilst I was out that was above 27gbps so I picked it up I’m sure it’ll work ok but yes a lower end one would have been more practical

And there many cheap 4k cables claiming to do the same and it hard to find the right one anything over £16:99 with a real Certified cable logo then you fine, You can download the official HDMI Cable Certication App from APP Store to check if it real or fake when buy online
