Boy racers

No I just love all these people who know exactly how fast someone is driving just by looking at the car. Wish I could do that..
He didn't say he knew exactly he said double the limit.

You got mobile speed camera in your back pocket to prove it?
You don't need a speed camera to judge differences only exact speeds, when you look at one moving objects and it is covering ground twice as fast as another it is moving twice as fast. If the slower one was obeying the speed limit then the faster one was doubling it.

You have my sympathy. I wasn’t so lucky and I got hit by a car on a similar road around 10 years ago - similar setup, left and then a right, though the road was a 30 and not a 20. Three weeks in hospital and a severely broken leg. Could have been a whole lot worse.

If people want to go out and drive ‘enthusiastically’, do it on an open national speed limit road very early in the morning away from built up areas. Regardless of how fast this guy was or wasn’t going, the fact that he had to slam on the anchors in a 20 zone says it all really.

We get them almost every evening along the main road (which is quite long and straight) and passes a large park area. They put average speed cameras in but it was a complete waste of money.

It didn't take long to figure out you need to pass through at least 2 cameras before you get an "average" speed. So they just boot it up until just before the 2nd camera and then stop, turn round and do a launch going back the other way. There is maybe 1/4 a mile between the cameras. OFC now cameras are installed the police just assume they cover it and never do any checks themselves, so there is no chance of of them being done.

Anyone read the news about the 18 year old kid who's parents bought him a brand new Mustang in the US. He mowed down and killed a mother and infant.
He got 24years, from a max of 30!
The logs pulled from the car showed he was doing 102mph that day, and shockingly 160mph another!
He was street racing at the time.

Funny almost like young kids have got poor judgement. I'm surprised nobodies gone full on black box and done some sort of valet mode for under 25s. Does seem very stupid buying such a car (assuming not the piddley 4 pot one) for what I assume is a first car.

A RWD sports car is the worst possible choice for a new driver.

Especially a Mustang which seem to be attracted to pedestrians.

It is even more stupid when you consider that Ford have the "mykey" system to allow your kids to have fun cars but impose limits like stereo volume, acceleration etc.

That Extreme Makeovers: Home Edition used to do this all the time. As well as doing up the house, they would give their 10 teenage children a V8 Mustang each. Presumably as some kind of social experiment to see how long before they were all crashed or stolen.

Seems mental, noting bikes in this country you are limited until you are 21?

Whilst no kids the same, I agree first cars should be limited

It also lets everyone know that there's a **** with a small penis coming.

I do things for me, I enjoy the sound. What others think of it means nothing to me. Never mind some random pleb on internet forums presuming that noise of my car in any way relates to size of my willy.
