Take the code there, go to the counter and say you have a VIP code for a PS5.

they will place and order for you, you pick a bundle and then pay. The console will get sent from the central warehouse to your branch to be picked up.

the code is essentially a £2500 off voucher that only works on PS5 as the console is listed as £3k in their stock system. This to stop staff or anyone to buy it I guess.

PS5 has been shipped from Game, despite saying it wasn't going to be until 21st July - will be here Monday via DPD, pretty happy with that. Going to finally be able to play God of War.

Managed to get 1 quite easily. Went into my local game and gave my name and number. Wasn't expecting anything to come from it but they rang me up on Wednesday which was about 10 days since I went in and bought it on Friday afternoon. Happy days.

I recently bought a couiole of PS4 games via the store, both have free upgrades to the PS5 version. Do i just download them normally and they auto sense the PS5 and install as appropriate?

That's how it's worked for me - God of War detected I was running on the PS5 and offered me the PS5 settings.

You can choose which version you want to install from the store or library page.

I bought Demon Souls off amazon.co.uk because there was a £10 voucher off, and it's just arrived and has a French sleeve.

I take it that's not normal? I'm sure it'll work fine but not exactly helping the resale value.
