Looking pretty dry, don't think there's going to be enough rain to make much difference, but the heavy rain earler will mean the track isn't rubbered in. Less grip, and more unpredictable wear?

Not sure I'd want to go to Austin for a race.

It's all a bit pandemic-y there at the moment.

Plus, no guarantee that the power grid will hold up. ;)

Oh I love the Hungarian GP trophy. Fantastic traditional thing.

US is starting to get its Delta wave atm. The F1 bubble has been pretty effective at keeping the show on the road but depends on the rules on fans I guess.

35°C Track Temperature

28°C Air Temperature

Rick of rain for F1 race is 100%

Giovinazzi pit radio - This intensity of rain will remain, now we could have some isolated heavier rain cells, basically for the next half an hour

So Max has basically 2 race engines for the rest of the year, one fresh and one with 6 (?) races on it, but also that first one was seemingly a bit down on power perhaps... Even if they avoid any penalties that's not great. I guess they can use the dodgy engine still for practices though until it dies.

Last I heard the Silverstone power unit was proclaimed OK, has it since developed an issue?

Hamilton radio - Um. Look, if it stays like this, this is not inters. What you can see there, is, it's drying. it's almost drying as it coming down, so this is very much on the verge of slicks I would say.
