Fastest Route from UK To Germany?

Hold on, wait a second... OP has an A class right? A 2L turbo hits 190 now?

It’s a hot A class, and I imagine if he’s heavily modified it, it could get close. We’ve been test driving a car with the same engine, 375BHP stock it can get upto speed very quickly. I do accept 190mph is quite different to 155mph though.

Really? What sort of map is that? Does your A45 have the aero kit?

The new AMG A45S with a remap must be pushing out mid 450ish and be around 1500KG so mustn't be far off that top speed.

Whether the car is stable at that speed is something else as I guess the A Class wasn't tested at those speeds.

Here is a video of an A45 running a piggyback tune only from 7 years ago. No ECU flash, no gearbox map etc....
191mph indicated, 188mph gps

The latest A45s is pushing 420ish
The W176 A45 with the aerokit produces 40kg of downforce at 155mph (figures from Mercedes)

Just read back through this thread, some great information posted. Now that restrictions are relaxing this trip can take place in the not to distant future. Currently planning on a ferry from Hull to Rotterdam, and then drive over to Duisburg and locate a suitable stretch. Harwich to the Hook of Holland is also an option. I will likely stay a few days, plus it will give me time to recon any runs.
Currently sorting out who's coming with me on my side, then got to run some checks on the car, then I should be ready. Car is running MPS4S Tyres now, so comfortable with it hitting the 190 range.
