I’ve got a MSI Radeon Vega 56 OC (flashed to 64) and looking on EBay these are selling for about £500. That means I could get a 6800XT by selling the Vega and stumping up another £500, upgrade cost would be much less than the 6800XT launch price.
Is this worthwhile? Or would a 6700XT be enough of an upgrade. Help please!!!!

Thank you, 3 votes for the 6800XT convinced me to go for it and I sold the Vega 56 within minutes for about twice what I originally paid for it!

Blimey that’s mining for you the vega series are mining monsters. I must get the vega 64 out of my daughters pc :D

I would rather own the 6800XT doubles up for strong gaming. Perfect chance to cash/exchange upgrade. When man maths applied its not much of an outlay!

Man maths - never heard that before but will definitely be applying some of that when the parcel arrives and my wife raises her eyebrows at me!

Ahh there's other tactics too! If I had no other methods I would not have half the equipment I have..

Can I really sell my v56 that I bought for under £250 for 500 !!

Seems like madness to me.

Can you actually buy a new card from ocuk?
Looks like they are out of stock.
I don't want to be without a GPU for long as my spare card is a gtx460.

Yeah, you would be a fool not to do it as some point in 2022 there will be a crypto crash again and the card will not fetch anywhere near that!

Depends on what your upgrading to, but I wouldnt waste your time on the 6700 (or below) or the 3060. Again 6800XT or 3070 is where you want to aim for so it lasts another 3+ years.

I have observed the 6700's creeping down a bit now, must be all them months sat @ >£700 and they need to shift stock!

Does anywhere actually stock (list) regular non XT 6800's I hardly ever see them about?

Almost never see 'em, dunno what's up with that. Got mine at launch and been keeping an eye on 'em for pricing it when I sell but shops have stocked very few of those. Must have good yields on the chips so they can all be 6800XT/6900XT.

I currently have a Vega 56 Overclocked (1650/950) with Samsung Memory.
I was too looking on eBay and they were selling (at the time) for £650.
This is the same price as a Nvidea 3060TI.
This seems crazy, as even when checking on NiceHash, it would mine more and also use less electric.

If you had a Vega 56, would you switch to a 3060TI?
I don't mind putting a bit more towards (maybe another £500)

I'm just sat wondering why my Vega is so special?
