I'm personally really happy with how they've approached it without the exploit.

Progression in the loops is a lot more subtle in Returnal compared to other rogue games, but it's definitely there. Constantly bashing your head against the game using the above method won't unlock the higher weapon traits etc which can really help. New more powerful artefacts, cubes etc require the restarts.

The suspend was perfect for me because it allowed me to bounce to games with friends, but still kept the core game intact.
 
Agreed the suspend feature is a nice touch by the devs. That exploit is BS to be honest. Half the fun of the game is knowing that if you fail you have to try again - it all adds to the excitement when you know you are so close to downing a boss. Also unlocking weapon traits is great because of much more powerful they make you. If they do some DLC I will buy the game again I think.

Yes, I've got the alerts set up but not having any luck. I got through to the Argos checkout about 3 times last week but then got the sold out message. I sat in an online queue for Game a few days ago, half an hour to get access to the site and the consoles where sold out.

If it's really easy then I'm sure @JDR82 will be along any minute to tell us he's scored one. :)

Not to be all smug,and you will need some luck, but I'd recommend a combination of the hotstock app, going the premium route for about a fiver, and keeping an eye on the Independents daily ps5 tracker - thanks to the Independent making me aware that game were going live this morning, I was speculatively going on games website and managed to get in and get a non bundled disc version. Of all the stock trackers I signed up to, hot stock were the first to notify me a couple of seconds after I'd got into the game site.

Time: 8am-9:30am.
 
My son wanted a PS5 last Xmas but I was unfortunately unable to get him one. I had signed up to the BT and Currys VIP lists and was emailed in the middle of the year to say I had a console allocated to me but I turned them down as obviously Xmas was long gone. Turns out he's asked for one again this year! So here I am, back on the PS5 hunt. Game just had some pre-orders up but after waiting in a queue for an hour, they were all gone. I can't believe there are still so many people looking for a PS5. Are they still be scalped like mad?

Stock seems to be coming in a lot more regularly now. I've had loads of stock informer alerts over the last few weeks

Unfortunately he only told me this in the past couple of days so I've only just started looking. I did warn him that he may have been too late to tell me. Hopefully the improved stock replenishments keep happening.

Admittedly I just wanted digital but game only had disc based. Convenience was key for me, and for pretty much the price of the disc version you can now add your own 1gb drive to the digital.
 
Binding of Isaac repentance is released today. Over 700 items or something now.. man, I’m on the fence. Sooo much content. I put a lot of hours into the original.

I was enjoying it a lot. Then I bought a dlc that changed loads of stuff and I wasnt able to roll back

I don’t know if I have another 500+ hours in me to play through this new one, and on top of that it’s £49. I really want to though..not out on the weekend either so need something new to play. :cry:
