I occasionally watch tv programs living room tv but i can't remember the last time i watched an entire movie on it, it's mostly just on as background noise.

I'm guessing i'm asking the wrong age group but a lot of people watch media on phones, tablets and their computers, I meant a real TV in the context like asking do you still use your landline phone but i'm guessing most on here still do. :D
So you’re asking if people still use actual TVs as opposed to phones tablets or computers??

you definitely been on the lemonade dude!!

No I only watch my pretend tv, which consists of a cardboard box, with a Greta Thunberg voodoo doll that gets clubbed to death by the PG Tips monkey, it's better than real tv by a mile.

Nope, my TV is effectively a Monitor, it's not even connected to an aerial/skybox etc, just my PC.

My land line is now purely for spam - We are both on sim cards.

As for TV - I could never watch a film on monitor - I would miss the chopper coming up from behind you and by instinct you duck at start of film.

The only things I watch on live TV is Al Jazeera, CNN, and BBC News. And TBH BBC News less and less these days. Paying the license fee really annoys me just to watch those.
I don't own a landline - actually, I think I do because of broadband but I've never plugged a phone in to it.

why would you want to watch someone elses schedule with advert breaks in it
You know there's a plethora of technology that allows you to watch streaming services on a fully fledged TV right.. ? Lol.

I couldn't stand watching anything on a device like an tablet or phone. What a waste.

Me and the wife record everything (except live football) and then I go and sit with her around 8pm to 9pm and watch something together until we go to bed.

Waiting for the "I don't own a TV and won't waste my time watching one" brigade to post and then you realise they do watch things but don't count it because it isn't a live broadcast or they're watching on their phone :)

We "tape" everything then watch it later so adverts can be fast forwarded. Or we use the apps on the TV to watch Netflix etc. At the weekend we watch a film on the projector.

Some of you will be horrified but about a month ago I upgraded my satellite system to a VU+ Uno4K and a Unicable LNB.
This also means (if I want to) I can record at least 8 channels at a time.
We have 5x Fire Devices scattered around the house and the STB can be accessed using an Android E2 APP or an E2 plugin in Kodi.
When not in the living room my wife has 3 main rooms she works from and she had a PVR in each room which she had to programme, she now doesn't need any of them.
I can also put IPTV on it.

Why would I want to watch movies on a tiny laptop/tablet/phone screen instead?

This.

I have a decent 65" TV that I watch movies on and very occasionally binge TV shows, it's awesome for a spot of gaming from time to time too as I've got my desktop hooked up to it.

Why on earth would I want to sit watching media on tiny mobile devices when I'm at home?

This for me. I want to choose what I watch not the other way round. The only thing I watch on normal TV is the odd bit of news. The wife however watches asian channels on Sky a lot. They're just a giant 30min bundle of adverts with a 15min 240p show chucked in there.

Most of the time I watch stuff on AppleTV+ as I have a film library on iTunes too. I also have a large Plex library and Prime Video that I access on an appletv 4k box.
