Hi. Looking up what to buy for about £800. I looked at a monitor the
▷ Gigabyte 32" M32U-EK 3840x2160 4K SS IPS 144H… | OcUK (overclockers.co.uk)

but for round about the same price i could upgrade my card.

▷ Palit GeForce RTX 3070 Jetstream V1 LHR 8GB G… | OcUK (overclockers.co.uk)

I do game at 4k now on a 2080ti 3700x X570Pro mobo. would i notice a difference from a 2080ti?. Anything above a 3070 is just stupid price.

What you think be best option for performance I have a KD 49XF7596 would i get better performance upgrading the graphic card or to a monitor?.

Waste of money getting a 3070, at 4k resolution you are more likely to run into a VRAM limitation.
Better off with the monitor as 60hz TV isn't the best for high fps gaming, although personally I wouldn't spend £800 on that either.

I would say the 2080 Ti would even just about edge out in some scenarios. Minimum I would go for is the 3080 or 6800XT but yes, current prices for these cards is silly high. Save it and wait for either prices to go back to normal and/or next gen.

I find googling "GPU hierarchy" is helpful, as the first result for me is a link to list all cards. I know it is generic but it helps me when I need reminding of the rough order of cards.

As mentioned it's a side grade or worse if you factor in the lower vram. The benefit could be better ray tracing in some circumstances.

Regarding the monitor, I'd check the monitor forum (and reviews) for a thread about it having any issues. I've researching monitors for the last three months and been amazed at how many of the latest monitors have some quite serious problems.

Absolutely classic Nvidia summed up right there.

Older card has more VRAM than the newer card with the same performance...

Comparing the lower model for current gen to the previous high end for 20 series
Different ways looking at it how much was the 2080ti ? £1k+ ?

3070fe on drop is £480 ? 3080fe £660 , 80ti Fe which is the easier one to get on drop

Not worth it, get a 3080/3080FE if you can you can.

even that's not worth it

In fact if we're being honest here, there is no RTx3000 gpu that's worth upgrading to from a 2080ti. I went from a 2080ti to a 3090 but I didn't care about whether it was worth it or good value but I know most consumers do care about those things and there is no upgrade from the 2080ti that makes a whole lot of sense if you care about the money you're spending
