No. Softbank has said no such thing, in fact what they have said is that is that ARM will IPO'd in the USA on the Nasdaq by March 2023.
Nvidia just wasted a lot of money due to still needing to pay the breakup fee.
Thats gonna some out of our asses come rtx 40 series.
That was always going to happen anyway.

ARM has done pretty well so far and will continue to do well. Hopefully companies such as Qualcomm who said they will invest in the company will do so.
BTW,the sale didn't go through because even the US regulators were against it,as big ARM licensees such as Qualcomm were concerned:

If so many are against it tells you they think it was terrible for the market.

Surely someone in Nvidia would have said " Jensen, dont think this will be accepted easily, maybe we should do some research on it first "

yep London, lol. It's highly likely that ARM will be on the New York stock exchange before March 2023
So, will we ever find out exactly what Nvidia's plan was? Because they're perpetual license holders so never needed to buy Arm to produce CPUs. And any perceived stagnation in Arm's development which an Nvidia purchase would alleviate didn't stop Apple's creation of the M1. And any licensing fees would never cover the exorbitant initial outlay. Even screwing over everybody else and having Arm to themselves wouldn't recoup the cost of purchase.

Probably to force every standard ARM SOC to have Nvidia graphics,and that is most of the market. Mediatek also announced a partnership with Nvidia too.
