Was looking at a mobiles.co.uk cashback Vodafone contract

Works out quite cheap around £8.50 after cashback for 100GB

Showed someone in a Vodafone store and he was telling me its a "basics" plan and will be subject to extra charges / have some limitations vs one I'd buy in a Vodafone store and that's why its so cheap. Something about inability to add any add ons like EU roaming / extras.

True or salesman bs?

Will call mobiles.co.uk tomorrow to check but just thought I'd see if anyone here knew

Last time I had a deal from them it was legit! Much cheaper and still got Vodafone login details etc. and didn't notice any restrictions of any kind.

I ended up on a slight impulse signing up in Vodafone store for a talkmobile (owned by them) deal but its not as cheap as the mobiles.co.uk one so considering cancelling that and going with mobiles.co.uk

Cheers

Broadly true. It isn't that you can't get regular tariffs, it's just the dirt cheap ones are feature locked.

Do you know which things for sure are missing from them? Or any way to find out? It doesn't seem to be clearly stated from what I saw (apart from some mentioning a speed cap)

If you find my thread about cheap eSims I ran into the same deal. Vodafone Basics do NOT work abroad, voice or data. UK only. Pretty mad, but blame Brexit as that's where they can save their costs by not providing a service abroad.

Cheers!

Checked with mobiles and luckily the one I signed up for is not a basics plan
