Considering the speed with which Putin's reached Kiev, I doubt supply will be a problem. He has the numbers, and Ukrainian resistance so far has been pretty weak, so he can just keep rolling forces into Ukraine.

The majority of those numbers are well off, especially the fighter aircraft and tanks, and he has more like 225k fighting troops not over 1m
 
Anyone have any ideas how we deter Putin in Finland and Sweden? Surely some sort of response is needed after those threats to let him know he can't steamroll them too?

Something's changed in his demeanour, If I were to guess it would that he's terminally ill, doesn't have long left and literally gives zero ***** any more either way because he's gone anyway.

For people who rightly don't want to waste time watching this video: TLDR is basically keep dialogue open that's how USA can pressure Russia into favourable concessions. Not exactly a unique perspective.

Oh, so the notion of a rag-tag rebel army isn't just confined to Star Wars now... I don't think they'll be engaging in jungle warfare, insurgencies can exist in other climates/terrains. You're aware that Afghanistan is a bit short on jungle too right? You've heard of a place called Chechnya? No jungle there, in fact, they were fighting the Russians too (successfully after the first war) and were only pacified when Putin cut a deal with a Chechen strongman.

There isn't a hard constraint on the climate in which you must fight an insurgency campaign in, though trees are indeed a nice addition, ISIS and the Taliban seemed to cope without them. Urban settings can be rather useful too!

Rather fundamental aspect is the support of the civilian population though.

Call it extreme if you like, but I propose we hit it hard and hit it fast with a major, and I mean major, leaflet campaign.

As I said, if he’s terminally ill and 70 years old, how the hell could the Russians let him take out all them and the world with him?

I didn't have to go back far to find plenty of evidence you had no idea what you were talking about and made plenty of promises to eat humble pie. I can't see any evidence of you keeping your word though.

Who are you trying to accuse of being as insincere and lacking in character as you are?

No, I've heard nothing to suggest we will be. However, my current unit are not held at any form of readiness. I cant speak for our lads out on OP CABRIT though, can imagine they will be a bit busy at the moment.
