Could be crowdfunded with all the goodwill towards Ukraine at the moment, set up a JustGiving page.

It will take decades probably, depends how much much funding they receive and if Western countries want to make a point of it bouncing back. Sadly its unlikely Russia will be leaving anytime soon and as the Russian economy is in freefall they aren't going to be throwing money at Ukraine to try to win over the people.

Yeah I mean I was thinking earlier - the ramifications of this, are going to go on and on, hell knows how long - years? decades? Who knows what happens after this?

I can't see people walking away from Russia the way they are now - then suddenly everyone doing a u-turn running back and turning everything on again. Even if Putin admitted the mistake and just pulled everything out and offered to pay for the damage - it would take ages to restore confidence.... It's gone too far now.

I have and have always had little doubt Russia would "win".

It could be a pyrrhic victory though.

Germany's military tactics just wouldn't work in todays world. The head of the snake would have been cut off long before they even got to France. Not to mention that modern militaries are just so much stronger than what they were back then.

Just like the vast majority of Russia's 80's tanks being totally hopeless in todays modern world filled with drones, handheld tank killers and intelligence being able to see the whole battlefield quite easily.

The thing Russia has is sheer numbers to throw at the problem. Ukraine will fall unless the west get involved with boots on the ground.

Puty, i believe, is gearing people up by trash talking Ukraine and spreading complete lies because he is going to escalate things drastically.

I'm not saying Russia should have used Blitzkreig tactics, which was just fast armoured divisions supported with air, Blitzkreig was a term invented post war. I'm saying that comparing this rabble of a Russian army to the Wehrmacht is an insult to them, frankly, they were far better for their time. This Russian army would have failed to invade Iraq in 2003.
 
Sadly, Zelenskyy is getting desperate, saying they'll march on Poland next and up to the Berlin wall.

Er well, no they won't. They would be destroyed.

That’s true in any situation. Russia doesn’t stand a chance against the U.S. full stop. He’s not going to invade although I have said that before :D. He’ll launch nukes before that happens although like you I no way of proving it.
 
If Abramovic wants a quick sale to shed himself of an assett, surely its a buyers market, especially as ge is wanting bids submitted by Friday. Ideal situation is nobody bids or they put ridiculously low bids in, take him to the cleaners on it, buyers have the strongest hand and they also dont HAVE to buy. Roman HAS to sell.
