You made the claim that Russians weren’t targeting civilians. I’ve asked you to back that up. You can’t. There is ample evidence to show that they are. You, for reasons you refuse to explain, still claim that they aren’t.
I’m unsure of your intentions here and it’s clear you aren’t willing to back up your, frankly absurd, claims with anything.
So, I’ll bow out and as soon as I can get my hands on some I’ll send @kindai his winnings.

Dude what is wrong with you, when did I make this claim. I said I personally doubt it. How could I say something with certainty about something that is happening in another country thousands of miles away.

Are you seriously ascribing my statement of "I doubt it" to "I have proof that they are not doing it". You are being completely unreasonable?

Wow, Zelensky has had a right meltdown tonight. Apparently all future deaths are our fault now for showing weakness.
I can't blame him, the dudes running a wartime country from a besieged city and hasn't had any decent amount of sleep in a week.

Add to that he is kinda right, the governments of the world sat by for months watching Putin build a massive invasion force on the Russian/Belorussian border and did nothing, then watched that army move into Ukraine, waited to think for a minute, then finally started applying the sanctions that should have been applied weeks ago >.>

Having said that though, in defence of our and other governments impotence: If they had acted when they knew the invasion was imminent and the advanced sanctions had worked, and Putin withdrew the invasion force, then you would always get the armchair/Facebook critics who would moan "it was never going to happen, you doubled our gas/electric bill for nothing!!" and that's bad for elections. Because at the end of the day, until Russian troops started actually killing Ukrainians the British/EU/US public didn't care in the slightest about Ukraine.

Firing on a car full of unarmed civilians (press) screaming stop and never returning fire seems pretty deliberate considering they continue firing as they run away.

That is just plain cold attempt at mass murder and absolutely deliberate attack by Russian soldiers on unarmed people, just disgraceful really.

And that's the problem with this war as I stated this is nothing more than murder what they are doing and they don't care who, they don't even play by war rules and show respect to civilians. They proved it many times with the rocket attacks on civilian buildings and civilian areas. It's either genocide now or they are paying the soldiers by each kill they make and a bonus for killing western journalists now as clearly Putin is mad at the western journalists showing all the protests in Russia and capturing what their "police" are doing to his own civilians when they protest and even arresting children for putting flowers at the Ukraine embassy in Russia.

This is all in a just over a week can you imagine what they will do next week or week after if this is still going on. I'm so disgusted by what I'm seeing and can't believe it is happening in Europe in 2022.. have we learned nothing from wars and the rules of war in civilian areas. Fuming really.

Pretty sick of the cancel culture with regards to Russia in all this and of the media reaction, when war crimes were committed by the west where were they then.

Of course it should be expected though, one only looks after its own.

This is the west, why would the west block itself. Do you see China block it's self?, Middle East block it's self? Russia block its self?

As Macron said, we haven't seen the worst of it. The nutcase in the Kremlin wants to take Kyiv and it will be a bloodbath. Many civilians are likely to get caught up in this. It is going to be horrendous unless somebody gets the courage to stop (kill/arrest) Putin before it happens.

Does anyone know if the recently captured NPP was online at the time of the attack? Or had it already been shut down in anticipation?

It was still online but they gradually started to shut some of the reactors down.

It's both.

I saw a good video the other day of an army mechanic explaining why we keep seeing abandoned Pantsir systems. Basically you have to move trucks periodically or the tyres will develop an incorrect shape, on all terrain vehicles like this you also have to exercise the system that inflates/deflates the tyres according to terrain otherwise the sidewalls lose their elasticity. If you don't do this and just leave them to sit then when you need to go off-road the vehicle will lower the pressure in it's tyres and the tyres will fail.

Obviously if they aren't maintaining a £10,000,000 truck properly they aren't maintaining any other vehicle properly, this is why they're essentially limited to roads and so getting slowed down by road blocks and sabotaged bridges.

Totally crazy and just shows the lack of any backend support or logistics, all the money has been piled into simply fielding large numbers of some stuff.

No of course it won't sanction itself that is obvious, it's just that "war crimes" are only important in the eyes of Western media when the victims are white or when it's enemy is doing it.

This hypocrisy I would hope most people can see and perhaps even understand but it's amazing how people buy in to it all.

Just saw a video of an Australian show where the kid with a Russian background was trying to explain about Donbas and Ukrainian crimes the host kicked him off the show.

People complain about certain countries being authoritarian but the kind of cancel culture going on now is not too far behind.

Thanks. What sources are best, to get this sort of detail? I've been following BBC but it's just one overview after another, and the featured stories aren't much better.

Was a live steam from the plant lastnight as it was under attack, then the official operators twitter was posting some updates. Some good updates get posted here so i don't go looking really, you just need to filter some of the junk or old information.

The comedy factor to this is the EU/etc are losing their **** over Russia's use of cluster bombs and thermobaric, but the USA is sitting stone silent on the subject as they used them in Iraq/Afghanistan and still have load sin their active inventory xD

Cheap Chinese tires (and poor maintenance) blamed for Russian convoy unable to reach Kyiv

It just keeps getting worse and worse. For a super power, their butt licking of China has resulted in this ultimate embarrassment. They 100% underestimated how the modern world works and nothing can remain hidden for very long. Kind shows how 20th century the leadership at the Kremlin has been for so long. and no wonder they want to have total control over what news the Russian people are shown because if all this reaches the ears of the masses it's even worse.

A revolt is needed over there surely.

Did they use them in populated areas against civilians? Or did they drop them in remote regions against military targets?

A couple of days ago a BBC reporter was interviewing refugees flooding into Poland, and asked a young woman the following: "How frightened were you when you heard the missile strikes?" Answer: "Very frightened". That's journalistic gold, right there.
And a day ago some ocuk guy posted som crap story about it too

Yeah a few people have posted it, doesn't look great that.

Ah damn, there was a thread on reddit asking whether this could have been armed civilians who have been setting up checkpoints to weed out Russian saboteurs - It was said because of the inaccurate firing because people expect a more trained force to have made mince meat of the car.

On one hand I see their point, on the other hand, we've seen what the Russian forces and equipment so far have been like...
