Frontline PBS made a documentary called 'Puntins war', PBS docs are usually very good, I'm going to watch it myself now. 53mins

Also a former MI6 chief discussion at Oxford University. 34 mins

Not only that but he will be killed once captured or sent to some gulag. What a horrible position to be in.

Oh definitely that. I recall the news saying he'd survived a number of assassination attempts. So he's definitely going to be on edge and fed up of the situation.

I just hope when the time comes, he can make it out safely, as he'll be the only one who can rally up the Ukrainians to continue.

yes was good on tv last night - average savings of a russian less than an Indian, and 110 people own 37% of wealth -

has boris sanctioned them yet ? he seems on diversionary manouvers discussing further nuclear power station monitoring;
BBC r4 said yesterday am a training building at nuclear site was hit ... despite the potential risk if explosions elsewhere,
are there satellite photos and better analysis on the web ?

I just noticed it's an old doc from 2015, I've seen it before but it's still good if you haven't seen it.

I don't know what's going on with the sanctions, there are so many sanctions and they keep growing. Russia are finished, these ever growing sanctions will cripple them, their only way out of this is to get rid of Putin.

If there was even one military person or maybe even civilian armed and firing out of one of those windows at Russian soldiers on the ground, what do you expect their response to be?

It would be EXACTLY the same response as any other soldier of any other country in that situation, call up artillery onto the target where you are getting fired upon from.

That is exactly what happens when your government calls upon civilians to arm themselves and fight back.
Said civilians instantly become targets, along with all other civilians, because now as an agressor you have no idea who is armed, and who is not, so shoot first check it out after.
As soon as you fire a weapon you're fair game.

Well reducing supply just pushes up the price of oil/gas which minimises the impact on the government and maximises it on everyone else, it would be symbolic at best.

The US can sell that by being "unpatriotic" but the cost will hit their gas guzzling cars.

I'm surprised the Russians haven't switched off Nord Stream 1 yet, that will be the ultimate slap on the face to Europe. That being said maybe they can't afford to switch it off
