It's Pandora's box.

Once there is a principle that a head of state can be assassinated, everyone becomes fair game.

I can't see the presidents etc of any country seeing that as a positive development.

I know several people who won't be able to afford to get to work if the fuel prices rise much above £2/l and/or other costs keep going up.

Why can't we assassinate the President of Russia you just asked? They'd declare war on us, because we just effectively declared war on them by killing their President in a surprise attack. Adults asking questions like this but presumably having the right to vote

I'm not confusing them. The EU chose to let them in then they should take responsibility for them. Once they've reached the EU there's no reason either the refugees or migrants should be fleeing any further afield. By taking the huge numbers of migrants off France's hands we've freed up space for France to now take more Ukrainians.

We're quite lucky as we do have spare cash available but it's definitely going to be more difficult. Things like holidays, going out wont be happening for a few years. Main important thing is a roof over our heads.

Heating oil is now around £1.40 a litre (it was around 60p - 70p).

I know a few families who have chosen food over heating already.

The Tory/Coalition decision(s) to introduce an over decade long freeze in fuel taxes wasn't just environmentally reckless, it's also made the UK much more vulnerable to this kind of fuel price shock.

They will have to look at curtailing luxuries like giving up Sky TV and other subscription services.
