Cordless lawnmower recommendations ?

I have one of the Ryobi Brushless ones.

Mostly good but a couple of things I would have in your mind for consideration;

Size of Lawn - I have a 4ah battery and that just about covers my lawn 100m2 so make sure you get a battery that is suitable

Also, it really doesn't cope with long grass particularly well and will self cut itself out, so either mow regularly, or needs a couple of passes to get the long stuff down to a lower level. My old electric didn't struggle with the same length.

Other then that, no faults, cuts well and not trailing a cord around is definitely and improvement!

I've got the Worx dual battery thingy (WG779E)

Two bed new build but extra wider than standard ones, seems to be working good.

I have a greenworks 40v one does the job, i also have the 40 strimmer and hedge trimmer plus a couple of batteries. Mainly got it as its easy to get batteries/other tools etc for it.

Had a cheaper single battery ryobi one and it ran out too soon/didnt have enough grunt. 4ah battery, lawn is in total about 50m2.
It died way too soon, plastic bit on height adjuster failed. Got credit to get a replacement and jumped to the brushless twin battery one and it does the whole lot with zero issues. 10/10 would buy again.
Also have a ryobi strimmer and that is a beast!!

@samcat what model do you have? I'm at the point of kicking my petrol mower every time I see it hoping it'll fail, it's getting on now but the decent Ryobi's aren't cheap. They had one in B&Q and it felt like a toy.

The one I have now is the Ryobi RY18LMX40A-0 18V ONE+ Cordless 40cm Brushless Lawnmower
Before I had the Ryobi RLM18C33B25 and it felt like a kids toy, struggled with most everything and couldnt do the whole lawn without swapping batteries, and if it got too long I had to strim first.
I wouldnt do this if I didnt already have a load of Ryobi bits/batteries... A decent wired mower wont run out of power. Invest in ourdoor sockets in the right places to make life easy.

Greenworks 40v here and it's a cracking piece of kit, also have the strimmer and garden blower/vac good kit and all interchangable ;)

I have the 430cm makita one and it's good. With a decent size lawn I'm glad I went for a wider one (makes mowing quicker! Time is money as they say)

We've got a Yard Force 40V the other half won in some random competition. Always used cheapy corded electrics before so was sceptical of it's power, but it's pretty good for the money I see them listed. On par with most other small electrics, battery life does hurt it - it always runs out a few minutes early (ain't that always the way). Although estimated battery life is pretty much spot on - 20-25 mins - guess we have 30 min of lawns! Have cut a bunch of wet/thick/tall grass and stuff with it - doesn't seem to clog up as easy as the other small electrics we've had, but jamming it like that or really making it work hard eats into the battery life fast. Really quite impressed with it, but should get another battery for it. Always wanted to get some of their matching trimmers that take the same battery for some easy/compatibility/extra battery, but they seemed quite overpriced so didn't.

18V Ryobi is the saddest POS ive ever owned.... Lasts 5 mins tops on 5amp battery. Overheats all the time meaning have to change batteries constantly and wait for them to cool.
Its on par with a childs toy.
It might be ok if you are literally trimming mm off your already well kept lawn.

You need more volts 40v minimum id say.

I know my makita one you plug in two batteries (2*18v=36v) and its not an issue with 5AH batteries

Maybe that's the way to go OP

I mean it technically answers the question (the product description is literally "BOSCH Indego S+ 500 Cordless Robot Lawn Mower - Black & Green") and might make you consider an alternative so I'm gonna throw it out there - I've got a Bosch indego S500+ which is technically "cordless".

Moved to a robot lawn mower when I moved in here and would never go back, to those saying they enjoy mowing the lawn I call BS - spend that time doing something else in the garden, or washing the car, mowing the lawn is a pointless task in 2022 :)

Depending on what you call small, you can get considerably cheaper ones these days if you don't need the range of this :)

Which one for context? As they have quite a few and the more expensive ones are well reviewed.

Its 8n Swedish but the numbers are there.

It was the cheapest at the time.

Honestly bad at cutting except just trimming already cut lawns.

Constantly blocking up
