To be fair it is easy for us to judge, but when you face 15 years in prison for daring to publicly question the status quo, I imagine the temptation is strong to just bury your head in the sand and pretend its not happening.

I dont blame the average Russian on the street and as long as they are not vocally supporting Putin and are just not getting involved, i have no problem with them........ but masses of respect of those who do stand up. Would i have the balls to be one of those people? I dunno, i would like to think so, but i am not convinced i would, not when i have a family of my own to support.

The West already has forces in Kosovo.

It's called K-FOR and was put in by NATO after kosovo's declaration of independence and the subsequent war. It has been in Kosovo for over 20 years, with no end in sight.

Most news outlets call it a war, Russia-Ukraine war

It is illegal to call it a war in Russia but we do not live there so we should use the correct term.

What are you babbling about? Because he rightfully called it an invasion? The two terms are not mutually exclusive, but you’re really nailing your colours to the mast eh?

Not only that, but the person who seems to enjoy posting contrary rubbish did eventually post the definitions for us: and as we already knew the only reason to use the word war instead of invasion is because the former definition makes it seems a bit more "they are both to blame" whereas we all know who invaded who, who started this, and who the aggressor is.
 
@Grim5 I posted that on the page previous top of page, Im not to bothered but you have posted multiple things that have been posted even sometimes just on previous page.

Ok I know what you are saying, it may seem a bit over the top, but you may have noticed Pelosi gave Taiwan a wide berth and visited everywhere else.

They took it seriously enough to not let her visit after all.

As already said, Invasion and war are not necessarily different things and i never said it wasnt a war... Ukraine and Russia are at war (though Russia deny it) but it is painstakingly obvious who is the invader / aggressor in this instance.

Some have said supporting the Ukraine is in effect prolonging their suffering, to which I say that is the Ukrainian peoples call. IF they want to surrender that is up to them, they will lose at least some of their land, maybe their Sovereignty completely and as 2014 has shown is quite possibly just kicking the can down the road.

imo so long as Ukr want to carry on the fight it is up to the rest of the Western world to support them as much as they can without pushing Russia to nuclear options..... (even more so because as I understand it, the Ukr were pressured to minimise their arming themselves on the promise that if the brownstuff hit the fan the West WOULD support them.......... So really it is our duty to support them as long as they want it because of pledges the West made.

what have you proven? please point out where i DIDNT say it was a war.... you seem to be arguing the strangest things.

is it a war, yes it is.............. is it a Russian invasion? yes of course it is.

please point out where I (or anyone recently has said it isnt a war?) its a bit like arguing the spelling of caliber or calibre of a bullet when the discussion really is that someone was shot!.... its kind of moot
