Nothing beats the KADUNK of a Panasonic Plasma on/off button. None of that standby crap - the real deal mechanical switch they all have.

Go OLED. It goes KTNK when you turn it on/off because there's a relay inside. Just like CRT!

Yeah in all fairness the lights dim when I turn my Panny on
. I will be on the lookout for my first 'proper' telly once I sort the living room out. 2 sleeps to go!
Naim kit is the best for that. You have to reach behind my amplifier and throw the massive rocker switch, THUNK, then a loud pop through the speakers.

Yeah 100% - mine is even active 3D lol. Weighs a tonne tho.
My parents still have their Panasonic Pz85 Plasma from 2008. The thing just won't bow out.
The days when TV had fans on the back. You just know it sucks down the leccy.

3 hrs I's about right tbh ,realised I did a lot of background TV semi viewing ,I've knocked that on the head and do more on the laptop

Yep! I enjoy Apple but since getting a PC I find the Apple services don't play well with Windows. I prefer Google when I'm on a PC and when using Google I prefer to use a Pixel phone.
