The only disgusting thing here is someone comparing the plight of the Jewish people in Germany during World War Two and the illegal charlatans being brought ashore at the rate of around 1100 a day by NGO's, the RNLI and other assorted do gooders. Pakistanis, Albanians, heaven knows how many different nationalities of safe countries coming across the globe to the UK totally illegally, as mainly economic migrants, interspersed, no doubt, with those with more destructive agendas.

At around 1100 a day how many more days should this go on for, unchecked? That's a million coming here in less than two and a half years. Totally unsustainable. Those are just the ones officially helped ashore and noted, God knows how many more there are alighting off the records.

And the crux of the matter is misuse of humanitarian laws by a mainly legal aid supported subset of our legal proffession, often with a radical political agenda, have for long hamstrung those wanting to put a stop to it.
 
Russia's got a conundrum between pointlessly attritioning forces across the Dnieper, reinforcing either Svatove or Kreminna-Severodonetsk-Lysychansk to the detriment of the other due or weakening the whole front by trying to protect everything with untrained troops liable to surrender.
 
(if you want Russia to win this is) Sensible thing for Russia to do is withdraw from UKR, build up and train up and equip mobilised 1m over the winter then go at it anew from the spring.

Ofc thankfully, they wont do the sensible thing..

Ukraine would get an immediate security guarantee from the West if Russia did that so they have little choice but to remain.

Russia loses either way as withdrawing would allow the Ukrainians to build multiple lines of defences and stockpiles of all the latest NATO kit.

Every possible Russian entry route would have batteries of HIMARs and 155mm artillery pre-registered on them. Every road would be mined and every hedge would have a Ukrainian with an NLAW or a MANPAD hiding behind it.

They declared open house for Syrian refugees in 2016 but strangely still haven't managed to tempt any into their homes... Nick Ferrari's interview with her on LBC was hilarious.

Perhaps if refugees are needed they could stand on the beach at Dover and hand about 1100 flyers out each day, there's got to be a taker there somewhere, surely? ;)

It's a long boat ride. Good and decent EU countries are going to have to deal with it for the main with the Uk helping out, hopefully.

But that wasn't the topic of discussion you, yourself raised.
You wanted to discuss how you were right, that local government couldn't handle the influx and somehow you were paying for it.
How would you feel about the UK government not sending a couple of Stormer HVM's and using the money to local government to house these poor people. Either way, We're still paying for it
