Yeah I mean, Liz Truss is terrible and bears actually more responsibility than him, it should've been obvious by her comment saying UK citizens could go fight in Ukraine at the start of the invasion which caused Putin to threaten nuclear war that she was out of her depth in her previous role - to make her PM is laughable. Rishi would've probably done a much better job.

As for Kwarteng - he's a bit of a doofus with this whole mess but fundamentally, he's just a scapegoat for Liz! They should both be going. I'm not sure about Boris but given we won't get a chance to oust the party, Rishi seems the "safer" pair of hands to make the markets happier. In reality, it's time for a complete change but I wouldn't even know who to vote for right now as the alternatives aren't great either.

The acceleration of the impacts which may or may not have been coming somewhere down the line were absolutely down to these two clowns and their supporters who knew what they were about.
They are all as bad as each other, no matter who is in power they will **** it all up and we'll be worse off for it. There's no white knight out there on a steed coming in to right all the wrongs and make our lives better.
The funniest/worst (depending on your perspective) part is that Truss/Kwasi probably could've done what they were planning to do if they had shown a bit of common sense and couched it initially in more sensible ways, e.g. these are our plans but we will wait for the OBR reports to confirm how we can bring in the measures with due considerations on their impacts. Markets love a plan.
