I am after cheap, reliable broadband.

I dont game online etc.

Speed is not that important. Reliability and cost is. Cheaper the better but must be reliable with good tech support etc.

Any recommendations?

Around the £20 a month mark would suit me...

Yes, i have looked around but wanted some feedback from all you good folks!

Hmmm, a bit hard to just offer suggestions just like that. First thing I'd do is go to something like thinkbroadband.com and use their postcode checker to see which companies are servicing your area. Then put the ones that meet your price and speed requirements here. Anyone familiar with those companies will then be able to offer you more in depth info of their experience with those companies to provide you more information to make a more informed choice.

Money is tight. But, i want reliability. A good provider with good customer service.

I saw that but, they had some damning reviews.

My budget is very tight as wages low and cost of living has sky rocketed.

I could live without broadband but, my daughter will need it for school work etc when she stays with me half the week.
 
As has been said - you can have two of low cost, reliable product, good customer service.

TalkTalk and Vodafone are cheap and the products are good (it's just an Openreach FTTC line at this point, there's not much to go wrong), and the trade you make is that customer support is terrible.

No one ever goes onto a forum to tell people their broadband works just fine. Anything less than £25pm will be at the mercy of Openreach and the quality of their infrastructure.
 
I was with Vodafone previously and didn't have any issues. Never had to deal with their customer service to say good or bad. Internet just worked and got the estimated speed 99% of the time.

would have stayed with them but at the time they didn't cover this area.

I've got Vodafone FTTC and it's been pretty rock solid. I've also been surprised at how many devices their router can handle.

Ah, I was more suggesting that you place the ones that catch your fancy from the available options (price + speed) here on the forums so we know which ones we can suggest or make opinions on their reliability that aren't a stab in the dark. I mean, Community Fibre has a 10 up/down for £12.50 a month that's reliable, cheap and has acceptable cusomter care, but your location would suggest that you aren't serviced by them. So me putting that info down would be a shot in the dark. However, your location might not be the same as where you actually live right now, so... Yeah. Just wanting to make it easier to offer suggestions and info on service by us others. As sometimes there's smaller local ones that might be right but we'd never suggest or comment on and then you'd miss out. :)
 
If you're on FTTC, you're really going to struggle to beat Aquiss, however you'll need your own router. Works out at £20 a month (£5 for 3 months, £25 for 9 months, 12 months contract).

Just a reminder (in case you can qualify) to check for the social tariff options. As they'll be lower in price usually; it's just most companies have qualifying checks in place for applying for those (universal credit, etc) some (Community Fibre) don't however. Most companies don't avertise those tariffs alongside their main options so will need to look around deeper with each provider if you want to see if its available and suitable.
