Hi

I have MacBook, iPad and iPhone and I have never thought about using iCloud Drive.
I don’t really have much, just a few documents on my MacBook.
Even so am I best enabling iCloud Drive?

I have apple one family so iCloud storage is about 200gb so plenty.

I guess it’s good just as a backup as well.

I use it, works really well and I can access any file from any device logged into my iCloud account.

I noticed I had it enabled on my MacBook as some of my folders had been converted to iCloud versions like documents and desktop folders.

I think I will keep it on then and customise it a bit, I looked under settings for iCloud Drive and looks like a lot pointless stuff enabled for iCloud Drive.

Oh right, that's the sort of thing I find useful, not pointless. So if I have set up favourite locations in the Weather app on one device, they appear on my other devices as well. I think that's quite handy.

Except Stocks. I've never used that, never will. It can get in the sea

I thought all that stuff was general apple iCloud account sync not the iCloud Drive though.

I use onedrive business as my main backup/files store rather than apple. It's got more storage that's all and I don't pay for it as it's on the business, I use it as a personal store as well.
I used to, we had unlimited storage with work, but they've pulled it for devices which aren't enrolled. I have 2TB with iCloud and it's more than enough.
