It’s nothing to do with laziness or porkieness, the spaces are wider so it’s easy to fully open car doors without the risk of clobbering the car either side. That’s the reason for those spaces. Personally, I didn’t care where they were, they could be at the far end of the car park. It’s purely down to the width.

only reason I like using them is the extra space otherwise I park miles away from the shop in a corner space, so my car doesn't get scratch or pranged by someone's door the missus moans about the walk thoughIt isn't a law or anything that you need a kid with you. It is common courtesy which is by the by anyway. Folk who don't want their door banged may park there if they decide to. Nothing to do with IQ. Perhaps you're just too obedient.
