1660 super v 6600

The 6600 is about 40-50% faster in traditional raster type games and has (very) limited Ray tracing capability, of which the 1660 Super has none, so is a 100% improvement :p

So its a win on both fronts.

Only you can decide if that's worth £220.

1660 supers can also sell for between £130-150 second hand (Sold an Asus one for £145 a few weeks back) so keep that in mind to and you can even possibly stretch to a 6650XT which would be an even nicer upgrade.

Either way you'll get a great boost in performance whatever you choose.

I actually like this MW2 benchmark as a quick and easy comparison between the generations of cards right now as it's fairly straightforward and gives you a decent idea of what you'd be looking at.

For £220 the 6600 is a decent deal, but I'd personally want a bigger upgrade than that, my minimum would be a 6700 non-XT or a 3060 Ti.

Yes I am torn as to wether to go with it or hang on a few more months for something a bit better. Bearing in mind I have only just upgraded to the 1660 as an Xmas gift in two gaming PCs.
