An extension build

Before you go with a white worktop, I have one, and it shows up everything. I'd probably change mine to something else on a retry.

Looks nice though when clean!
In contrast to this, my last worktop was a black laminate one installed by the previous owners, and I never knew when it was clean or dirty. It just looked black. It hid EVERYTHING, but I wasn't really sure that was a good thing! :D

Something more middle toned might be best, I don't think I'd go black either for the same reason you posted!

Conversely I was against a white worktop for the same reasons, but must admit it looks.fab and wipes dow mega easy.

Just need to be relatively quick mopping up spices, curry, red wine and the like !

Thanks! Shutters are really good especially as I have a bunch of houses near me, I'd definitely do those again if I wanted some extra privacy options.

I did consider an island but wasn't sure if the room was really big enough to warrant one, and I had a table already so would have meant getting rid of it.

Cheers :D

It's quartz, and it was about £4k. Same worktops in the utility room too.
Where are they from? Cheers just checking I have the right flavour of figures in mind

I think it really depends on the quality of worktop/individual worktop. My laminate one does show some minor surface scratching, but can't really see from afar. I expect quartz will be better.

Magnet - Ordered as a job-lot as part of the whole kitchen. It's called "Lagoon Quartz" I think.

Not quite as fancy as yours maybe but this is mine :)
I admire the courage of a person who criticises a person's furniture and then posts up their mauve fabric chairs :D

That's the thing, they're not mauve, they just look it in the image! :)

They're a grey colour, just the way the the light and camera are capturing it. The kitchen units look darker than they do in real life as well, definitely a bit lighter.

Nice one, that looks amazing now it's nearly finished, you should be proud of that!

Grey tinted mirror splashback for the win :D
