Range cooker suggestions

So we finally bit the bullet and have a new kitchen on order with Wickes. We decided to get the cooker separately as Wickes wanted too much money. We have a 90cm gap and are looking for a range type cooker. We currently have a 90cm Smeg left by previous owners and it's been pretty good. However it is showing its age and the side oven doesn't work, so we'd like a new one. Preferably no more than 2k.
 
What fuel are you using? Electric only? Gas and electric? Gas only?

I’m hardly an expert on ovens but when we bought our house we inherited a 90cm Rangemaster Classic Deluxe. Gas hobs, electric ovens. And it’s great. I would say though that we only use the dual ovens simultaneously when doing big roasts so not that often really, and in all honesty I think I’d rather have the extra worktop space and a smaller oven. All depends on you I suppose.

We had a gas hob/electric fan oven Rangemaster in London for a decade and it was money well spent.

One regular sized oven and one smaller over for doing the veg etc. whilst the roast in in the regular one.

Exactly how we use it. Trouble is we often just do a one pot roast in the big Casserole dish so rarely use both at the same time.
 
True, our grill got more use than the second oven. Very handy when family were coming around to eat.

We had a heat resistant toughened glass cutting board sat on top of the wok burner to give extra food prep space.

Sorry meant to say it's gas hob, electric oven. Will check the Smeg, cheers :)
 
I’ve just ordered a 100cm range master. Seem to be a good oven for around the 2000 mark. The deluxe version is generally the same apart from the gas ignition comes from pressing the gas control in rather than a button. A nice perk, but probably not worth the extra money. A lot of the features across the range seem to be the same, so a lot of it comes down to choosing the styling that suits for the best deal.
 
Inherited a rangemaster 90 gas top and electric ovens.

Must say I'm not a fan of the oven. Might just be ours. But it's a bit uneven. Had rangemasters at home growing up etc(farmers lol) and always seemed decent.

If I was doing kitchen from scratch I'm not even sure if I'd need an over with the air fryer.
Literally only thing I use it for is pizza.

They certainly look amazing though!

We have a 90cm Ilve Milano delivered (to the shop) waiting for installation for when the kitchen is done. We looked at Rangemaster and Smeg but they both felt very cheap in comparison. Which makes sense, because it was twice as much :p But seriously, the quality was undeniable. Ours is matte black with brass fittings. Can’t wait to get it in, kitchen building work starts tomorrow :eek:

Hopefully it will last us a very long time.

Looks a really nice cooker that :) Shame it's a bit more than I'd like to be spending. I'd better not let the Mrs see it :p

Just don't go and look at it in the flesh either! It's not as much as the Falcon (?) and Lacanche super high end ones. I'll let you know if it's worth it in err... 6 weeks maybe? (Fingers crossed)
