Why would my replies be restricted for 3 hours?

The auto AI bot probably picked you up for spamming too many posts in such a small amount of time.

Just do as the AI says and it will be ok.

I think new accounts have limits on posting frequency that get removed / raised after a certain amount of time, to avoid spam.

You've done nothing wrong. New accounts (low post count) are limited to prevent potential spammers.

The restriction will remove automatically once I believe you reach 100 posts.
