I already have a G12 and h55 from my old GPU(6600xt) my case is very small jonsbo v10 it as good air flow but with the side panel off my gpu hits 75c in games
i cant go bigger as i have a 120x45 on the cpu, the h55 is a 120x25

is the h55 upto the job? would i be better swapping them round so the gpu as the bigger rad?

would you run a 13900k on a 120mm aio?
for reference, a 13900k puts out 250w

a 3080 puts out 320w
i personally would steer clear :p

plenty of GPU's come with a 120mm aio fitter from retailers, my card pulls 207w under max load.
MSI 3090 sea hawk as a 120mm. i know it can be done and is ok. the question was more should i use the thicker ram or not

I doubt it'll matter when gaming due to heat saturation but I would put the thicker rad on the CPU so at idle/general use it'll have the better cooling potential.

Are the CPU and/or the GPU eventually throttling to prevent overheating?

What intake fans do you have on the rads and what is the PWM % they run at maximally in your setup?

I have a Phanteks Shift 2 ITX setup with a 5950X offset -0.2 and a 2700 Super both water cooled with a custom setup. I'm trying to eliminate throttling but not sure if I will manage it. I'm using two standard 120mm rads with slim 120mm intake fans and the key to making it work so far was another slim 120mm as an exhaust opposite the top 120mm rad. It's too noisy too but I'm about to try some new slim fans to reduce noise levels.

Even if the H55 handles the gpu core I reckon you are going to struggle to cool the memory and VRM's. GDDR6X runs very hot and will need some serious cooling along with the VRM's. I would say the days of strapping a AIO to a gpu (same with a universal waterblock that just cools the core) are gone with these modern cards sucking ridiculous amounts of power and chucking out so much heat.

Edit: i should add this is with the gpu undervolted to 950mv
yes today i put the side panels on and a single run of heaven bench put the gpu to 90c and at 85c it starts the throttle.
this was with a 144fps cap on heaven

the thicker rad as the run a slim fan for so it fits, the slim rad can run a normal fan.

intake:

i do agree but on the gpu i have with the g12 fitted i can keep the back plate and face plate in place, so the vrm and ram would have better cooling than they do now as the GPU heatsink wouldn't be dumping heat into the plats

I have a Phanteks Shift 2 ITX
yer i had that same case for a week and binned it, total poo. everything throttled(on air)

i used an offset on the cpu via PBO curve -30 max offset. PBO limits set of disabled so i didnt boost passed stock - 5600 noneX
gpu was a Gigabyte 6600xt oc, the coolest running gpu I've owned, power limit set to 90% playing squads for 15min GPU forced system shootdown (105c)

this fan is your best bet, its moves the most air for the least db of all the slim fans i looked at

depending on your desk set up... just strap a 360 to the back of your desk in push pull, it will run solent. job done.
