Hi all,

I've recently upgraded my system:
  • Ryzen 7700x
  • Strix B650e-f
  • 32GB DDR5 6000mhz

But now I need a new GPU to accompany it. I was running an RX580, but have just gotten rid of it as it was clearly bottlenecking everything else and running at 100% in pretty much everything I was playing!

I'm still using my EVGA G3 650w PSU, so that's something to keep in mind and I doubt I'll be upgrading my resolution for a while yet. I am also keen to keep FreeSync capability of my monitor too.

What's a sensible option here? Happy to go brand new or 2nd hand.

Thanks!

You have lots of good options depending upon your budget. VR and RT may restrict your choices

What's your budget?

But by what you have said, I would go 6700xt/6750xt as 650w is the minimum for that GPU. It's the best GPU for it's price and would last you a while at 1080.

I'll take a look at those thanks, if PSUs weren't so expensive I'd also upgrade that to accommodate a beefier gpu. Dont suppose the lower end 7XXX series are on the horizon anytime soon are they?

The A750 should be more than good enough for much less money.

Does the A750 support FreeSync on any monitor? Intel GPU is not something I'd considered previously tbh

I know what you mean about the prices of PSU's I have been looking at them for my sons build and your looking at about £100 for a good one.

The lower end 7000 series cards should hopefully be out soon, but not sure when.

agreed with this, the 6750XT is a good 1440P option.

Intel is also starting to become an option.
