UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [14th - 16th March 2023]

39 goals so far this season now for Haaland, if he scores 3 more before the end of the season it will be his best goalscoring season of his career.

No where near the goal so not last man but its both feet off the air in no control. Definite yellow at least. Was it even a free kick?

Guess the Oil state have tired of waiting for Guardiola to win it 'legitimately' and have taken to throwing a few £££ at the refs/var team in their games

Last man or not, if an outfield player goes flying into a tackle that high, it would be a straight red.

It's not last man it's denying a clear goal scoring opportunity...he's the goalkeeper and the lad would have had a free shot. It's a red card for that alone then when you look at the actual challenge that's also a red. Terrible decision.

I'm not sure he'd have had a free shot as Grealish is tracking him on the right side. It should have been a red simply for the recklessness of the challenge.

He was heading in the direction of the corner flag. Most probably why it was only a yellow.

But you're right, I've seen red given in these type of scenarios before.

The City defender was right on him though. I can see why that might not be clear cut. Did they even give a free kick for it? Looks like they booked the player from the other team.

Its OK though, probably didn't effect the game at all...

How VAR hasn't been able to say "you've had a shocker there" is beyond me.
