I mean, theres only 3 games left so its not unlikely. Just need to limp over the line into CL for next season.

I think we will manage it. Personally, I think it has been a successful season for ETHs first. Laid down rules, stuck to them, got us playing better football, made a few very good signings. I really hope he gets what he wants in the summer, plus gets rid of the players we all know need to be gone.

Oh very much so. To use a tired line, I would have been happy with this season at the start. I was hoping for slightly better at one point in the season but there is still masses of work to be done and losing both first choice CBs has completely killed our momentum.

Just need to get top 4, get the owner situation sorted and have a good summer and we should be able to compete at the top next season. We are a few years away from competing for the league but we should be up there for most of the season next year if things go well.

Phil Jones is finally leaving at the end of the season! Hooray!

All jokes aside, I feel for the guy. Hasn't been fit in god knows how long. Waste of a career for such a promising player.

I do wonder why he was at the club for so long. 229 appearances for United over 12 seasons. Average of 19 per season but in the last 4 years he played 13 times.

I think if the takeover drags on into the summer, it will damage any transfer plans quite badly. The Glazers are not going to sanction £200m worth of transfers with this much uncertainty.

I'm just praying we hear something soon about what's going on...

Not checked any sources yet, but the last 20 mins or so all over twitter, Jassim has put in an 11th hour take it or leave it bid. Apparently still valuing the share prices less than Jim. I wonder how this will play out?

Sources are good. Hopefully this will move things along...

thats good then. I am probably being hypocritical from any of my past posts about Qatar, but I want Utd to have his money now. I can't be arsed with the Glazers staying if Jim takes over, even though they wont have a majority share they will still be there.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for him, he'll be getting paid.

There is something I absolutely hate about the fact the Glazers are going to get ridiculous money after treating the club like **** for nearly 20 years. I would almost rather we melted into obscurity than their behaviour be rewarded to the tune of £5bn+.

Completely stupid I know but I am sleep deprived and have a baby screaming in my ear right now.

The whole thing is an unedifying spectacle. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of the business of football. I really do think it needs better regulation to stop nation state ownership. Seriously considering supporting Brighton after 40 years a ManU fan!

Glory Supporter!!1!! ;)

Great to have Rashford back I think we will get over the line just. apparently going to play in that awful green kit vs bournmouth just gives 4-0 Brentford vibes hate it.

not looking forward to the fa cup final especially after City last night if they play like that we would be lucky to keep the score down but in cup games you never know if anyone can stop them it can be us.

Sir Jim Ratcliff has gone from a net worth of 6 Billion to 23 Billion in the past year. That puts him in the top 100 in the world and easily top of the UK.

Seems a little strange from a "fan" that he is scraping the pennies together to buy the club when he could quite easily match the Qatari bid and just buy the whole thing outright. After all 6 Billion is just 3 months of last years wage ;).

You know he doesn't have £30bn in cash right? Most of these billionaires wealth is tied up in assets, they don't have a massive suitcase full of cash under the bed.
